Worst part of the week: Getting the phone call Wednesday night that my dads garage was burning to the ground, along with all of the vehicles, hard work and memories. There was so much damage done to the house and barn and there was absolutely nothing left of the three car garage. It could have very easily spread to the house and took everything. So thankful that didn't happen.

Week 13

Okay. I have my first learning experience from Devilsrus  Babiesrus. Do Not. I repeat, DO NOT. Go into one of those Toysrus/Babiesrus crossover combos expecting to leave with your sanity and skin on your fingers. There are too many toys, freakishly small isles and absolutely no organization. I walked in to use a groupon I had purchased and to pick up somthing small for BB and left twitching from anxiety and craddling my bleeding finger. I did however go the very next day to a true Babiesrus and purchased some sweet little baby comfies. My belly is all of a sudden out of control. Comment after Comment about having more than one baby and being too big for my due date. Definetly feeling mucho PREGNANT. On a Brighter and more Colorful note, Christmas is right around the corner! Which means lots of family, food, presents and food! Happy Holidays Everyone!! :)

Please pay no attention to my tired appearence. ayiyi.

Dreams-ish? While laying in bed last night, having forgot to turn the fan on, I was awoken by extremely loud snoring. My brain tells me to shut up whatever is snoring. My pregnancy brain tells me, its probably just a patient and it would be rude to tell them to stop snoring. After pondering this thought for a good while, my brain actually kicks in and makes me realize Brandon is snoring. Not my patients. I do not have patients sleeping in my room snoring. So I thumped Brandon with my pillow and turned on our fan. #imlosingit

Week 12

This week BB is the size of a large Plum! A whopping 2.5 inches! Had an apt this week to hear the heartbeat, what a beautiful sound, literally music to my ears. BTW the heartbeat was 160. Now according to the internet a reliable source, if the fetal heart rate is above 140 the babies tend to be girls, and below 140 are boys. Interesting. Breaking my streak, I bought my first Baby item. The color of this item will remain a mystery until February, as I will not remove tags nor take it out of the bag until then. But i'll give you a hint, it rhymes with s i n k. ;) Another first, was wearing Brandon's pants to work today becauseImhuge because I could not find my own! Thank god for the belly Band to help keep them up! Although... they were pretty comfortable I can see this being a reoccuring event ;)

Mom :)

On the most Positive note, I have started reading my mothers journal which she kept when she was pregnant with me. For those of you who do not know about my mom, she was amazing. The most dedicated wife and mother, who made our lives so bright and colorful. We (My brother Jory 20 and sister Jamison 12) had the best childhood we could have asked for. Our hearts were broken in February 2010 when my mom was diagnosed with Colon Cancer, fighting a very hard and short battle, leaving our family in November of 2010. Although she is no longer with us in person, we feel her spirit ever day. Going through her things I was able to find MANY  bright colored maternity clothes and the most important object I have ever had in my possession. This journal she kept, is so detailed. Every appointment, shopping excursion and baby movement is recorded, in her handwritting :) Reading her month to month stories, makes it almost feel like she's still here, and she would have been the BEST grandmother!

I <3 my family.

Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Very Happy :)
Weekly Wisdom: Stop eating so much.<----- Ha.
Saddest Part of the Week: The removal of my belly button ring. We'll see if 8 years of having it can outlast 6 monthes before I can attempt to put it back in.
Dreams? I had a dream, while at my ultrasound, we saw the baby and all of a sudden the baby had two heads. I was freaking out that I had a deformed baby when the nurse said, "o no hold on" and she shook my belly and a second baby floated up from behind the first. I drove to Brandon's work in tears to tell him. He took one look at the ultrasound picture and PASSED. OUT. Flat on the floor.

Nursery. Take One.

As these weeks fly creep by, we are getting more & more anxious to get started on this whole "nesting" thing! Much to my own suprise I have yet to buy a n y t  h i n g for the baby. Not. a. thing. With a reputation for being an avid shopper, I'm starting to worry myself. Have I lost my touch? Whatever touch I've lost, I'll surely regain in February! :) Shopping skills will definetly be needed when we start to tackle,THE NURSERY. BB's nursery is the only room in our house that has remained untouched, and it needs major help.

Exhibit A: The Nursery Floor

Someone please explain to me why someone ever thought this was a good idea to put in a bedroom? Yes. That is Blue and yellow linoleum.
Baby Girl Beck Inspirations

Now I have crazy ideas for how I want to go about transforming this interesting room into BB's crib. The only question is, Barbies or Baseball? :)

Week 11

This week was full of festivities and FOOD. We had both Brandon's and my Work Christmas Parties! And it SNOWED! Okay....so maybe not outside...but definetly in my garage, as Wrigley and Lewis took it upon themselves to shred a sleepingbag mat. White foam peices were E V E R Y W H E R E. Another huge take away from this week, was my discovery of a delectible tater tots with melted cheese and  chopped bacon served with sour cream deliciousness :) Ate it two nights in a row. #sorrynotsorry. Three Weeks away from the second trimester!

Sleep: Sleeping like a baby now with my body pillow, however our bed is getting kind of small..
Best moment Most interesting moment this week: Lewis had gotten in the habit of getting up with me during my frequent bathroom trips at night. Since I no longer take them he wonders why and comes to my side of the bed (several times a night) whinning to go. One particular night I was having a very restless sleep, tossing and turning until I was woken by Brandon sternly asking what I was doing. I had gotten so turned around in my sleep, Brandon must have gotten too close to my face (I mistook him for Lewis) and was wacking him with my pillow...hard. We need a bigger bed.

Everyone was so happy for little baby girl Beck. We started to cut the rest of the cake to hand out, the next slice was blue...the slice after that was green..so i cut the whole dang cake open and it was a rainbow cake! They must have gave us the wrong cake! So we stormed to the bakers and demanded to know whether the cake was supposed to be blue or pink!! It took forever for her to find the origional order, and thats when she said it. BLUE. IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE BLUE.

Bah humbug. There goes my girl prediction.

Week 9

This week Brandon and I traveled back to our Home towns for some much needed family/friend time and to finally tell everyone our news! Week 7

Unable to contain ourselves, both sets of parents (and siblings) are now aware that there is indeed a bun in our oven :) I told my dad while I was down visiting and we told Brandon's parents over Japenese.  Everyone is VERY excited. More fortunate then most, the only pregnancy symptom I've had to so far is wanting to eat any & everything. Determined to not buy anything baby until we know the gender, I ran out and bought the essential every mommy-to-be should own. The infamous What to Expect While You're Expecting Book. My mother had one, but I figured hers was slightly outdated since she had bought it 24+ years ago. I Survived my Photography Mini Sessions this past week. 30 families in two days=One VERY tired pregnant lady!

I need to share with family and friends The World itty bitty baby becks journey into this world :) So pull up a warm blanket and some tasty treats my friends, because this is going to be one    l   o   n   g    winter.

The Beck's at our 2 year Anniversary :)
