Week 8

Here we go! Round two!!

One thing is for certain, this pregnancy is definitely different than mine with Adelie.  I didn't have a whole lot of symptoms with her but now I am an emotional wreck, craving random foods like crazy and feeling nauseous. Not the throwupeveryfiveminutes morning sickness that poor Princess Kate has, but definitely sick like feeling, strongest at night.
I have been emotional since day 1 of finding out-but it got kicked to a whole new level last week when I sobbed like a baby during the final dance scene in Dirty Dancing. I lost it. Couldn't even control the tears. And then there was the ugly cry while trying to read Adelie a bedtime story-granted it was
I'll love you forever which will bring anyone to tears but man alive was mommy a hot mess.
Now usually people don't announce their pregnancies until after the first trimester and after the first doctors apt.  We waited to announce with Adelie but I read an article a few weeks ago by Jill Duggar and it really turned my perspective on the subject.  Every baby is wanted. Every baby is a gift from God, and we will celebrate every baby even if for some painful reason they have to leave this life too early.  I think more people should look at pregnancy that way and choose to share the good news and not be scared of the what ifs-a baby is SUCH exciting news!
And once again, I clearly wanted to shout it from the rooftops when that little stick confirmed our suspicions :)  We cannot wait to bring another baby into this world!
This time around, Brandon promised me he would take a weekly picture of me for
 HUMP DAY BUMP DAY
So I wouldn't have to resort to mirror pictures and self timer iphone photos -sigh.
I also am going to be using my new chalkboard, starting off with week 8!
Not sucking in nor pushing out.  The chicken dinner may or may not be a contributing factor.

Week: 8

Weight Gain: up 2lbs

Cravings: Carmel anything, ranch, cheesecake, (eggnog-2 gallons worth, now I'm tired of it)  milk

Clothing: Just stocked up on comfy Maternity clothes at Old Navy! Lot's of leggings and long shirts :)

Best Moment this week: Finally having one day off from everything and spending it with Adelie shopping :)

Miss Anything? I'll be missing the trick or drink games this weekend with the rest of the neighborhood adults :(

Movement? not yet

Anything making me sick or queasy? Any food that has a bright color-thats not supposed to. Like the Bright yellow jalapeno bagel that sounded good but made me sick just looking at it.  Getting queasy in the middle of the night.

Mood: Emotional and exhausted

Looking forward to: Taking Adelie around trick or treating on friday! Even though it's supposed to snow :( Snow-on Halloween?!??!?!

Worst part of the week: Fixing myself a milkshake only to find out we are out of milk. That was very depressing

Dreams? I was having triplets, and was so upset.  Brandon and I were at the hospital trying to figure out which one to give up for adoption lol oy vey.

Itty Bitty Baby Beck #2

Surprise!

We are over the moon excited to announce that Adelie is going to be a BIG SISTER next June!
Yes-Incredible timing right? My due date is a week before Adelie's Birthday-
here's to hoping I go early and can have a May baby ;)

Brandon and I were sitting in bed a couple weeks ago and he said something I normally would have just punched him for-instead, I started bawling. He just looked at me and said, "Jac I was just kidding.." then he immediately followed by saying we should just look past all the naughty things Lewis (one of our springers) does because we would only have about 10 more years with him. (He has been really naughty lately) Welp. That sent me into a sobbing mess. After about a minute of waterworks, I just stopped and looked at Brandon and said,
"I have got to be pregnant."
The next morning several test confirmed the suspicion.
I had all these plans of how I was going to tell him the news but of course my excitement got the best of me and I just blurted it out!
I've never been good about keeping secrets ;)

Adelie still doesn't realize that her life will be changing in about 8 months but she sure does say baby a lot! and it's soo cute

We face timed Papa Ron, Uncle Jory and Jamison with Adelie in her Big Sister outfit and they were all thrilled :) We then popped in for a visit at the office so she could show off her new title to Grandma and Papa Beck :) It took everyone an average of 45 seconds to grasp what her shirt said ;)

Right after we found out, we went back for a Notre Dame game and I posted this picture

Almost immediately, I received a text from my friend Morgan reading
"Hey girl looks like a fun tailgate where is your drink?? with a bunch of baby emojis.
She is such a smart cookie.
So the nextt week I had to stage this picture to throw people off my trail...
Did it work?? ;)

I will be documenting this pregnancy just like my first, with the addition of my new chalkboard :)
WHICH
will make its first appearance tonight for the weekly bump update :)

Happy Hump Day Bump Day!!

16m The Bag lady

Adelie is a teeth brushing, baby hoarding, dishrag stealing, shopping fool!

I swear this has been the busiest month yet, and I'm not even talking about the busy-ness that was my photography schedule. I'm talking about miss neverslowdown Adelie! She is such a busybody these days :)  Her obsession with reusable shopping bags has escalated to an even cuter level.  At any given moment you can find her dragging one behind her with all the trinkets she has found in the last 30min. (the average time everything stays in her bag, before she either dumps it out or grabs a new bag)
Yesterday I went through the house picking up things that were out of place. The little shopper walked right behind me, taking whatever I had just put in the cupboard out and shoved it in her bag.
I couldn't even stop her- it was SO cute.
The contents of her bag are really quite hysterical. Golf balls, sunscreen, a banana, Brandon's phone (as of this morning) haha.  The other night she couldn't find a sufficient bag, so she settled on one of B's dress shoes.  Imagine the scene when Adelie walks around the couch holding the shoe filled with Fisher Price little people princesses. We laughed so hard!
Brushing her teeth has also become a favorite activity.  Every time she enters our bathroom she yells for it. I say yell, because everything she says is very LOUD.  She is on her second big kid toothbrush because of her obsession with brushing/gnawing on it. I'm not complaining, with the amount of candy corn she sneaks ;)
I cannot for the life of me keep the dishrags on the front of the stove. As soon as I hang them up, Ino more than turn my back and she's pulled them down and running through the house squealing
Word wise, she says Mama, daddy, dog (duh), thank you (tanttu) Baby (bee bee) a whole bunch of other jargon and Sock (saww). She stops dead in her tracks if she sees a sock and then precedes on collecting it and bringing it to you :)
Currently the favorite food of choice is alfredo pasta, green beans, corn and apple slices. Her favorite drink is milk or whatever mommy is drinking-whatever mommy is drinking.
She loves bath time-the new house has a huge bathtub perfect for bath tub parties with mommy :)

We finally got to have our family pictures taken and it's was a little bit tricky to say the least. Adelie was little miss dontlookatthecameraever. Thank god for photoshop and head swapping ;)

Too funny not to include ;)

How the entire shoot went-oh vey

We are looking forward to Halloween and taking Adelie around trick or treating for the first time!! Hoping it doesn't rain or snow!
