Week 27

So something big happened this week.
The name I was set on is no longer her name.
In Florida, B said her name and it just sounded off.  Since then we have been talking about different options and as of wednesday, her name is now set in stone.
I have personalized outfits & I have ordered her quilt with her name on it.
It's still an A name, so she is still little A :)

I knew this was going to happen eventually, but I can feel the energy leaving my body.  I'm starting to coast on what energy I do have and am struggling to finish all of the half done projects sitting around my house. I'm chalking it up to carrying an extra 40lbs around on a daily basis.  Between these two girls-that is a lot of extra weight my back is supporting, especially because I carry so super out front.
That has got to be the one downfall I've had this pregnancy. Because this time, I'm not only toting around this ginormous belly but also a growing chickadee named Adelie ;)

It is FINALLY feeling like springtime here in Michigan!! This post has actually been wrote since Friday but we've been a little sidetracked getting muddy playing outside in the sunshine!! Adelie is obsessed with the play climber she received last year for her Birthday (from papa ron) and is even going down the slide by herself! This is BIG news because as of last month she was terrified.
We went to Catch Air again, this time with Liam WOW and Aunt Erin. Mama was definitely slower this time around and that might have been my last excursion there until after this babe is born ;)
The end of week 27 has started to feel very much like week 37
81-ish days to go!
(I've changed my mind and feel like this one might come early)
#notopposed

I also cannot find the energy to write on a chalkboard anymore, please forgive me little A!

One more sleep in her half/crib before her big girl bed is officially assembled!!

throw back to last year!

Next year, we'll be able to stuff little sister in there!

Big Sister is ready to hand over her crib!!

Week 26

One day away from the third trimester! And this post is actually being posted in the correct week? Crazy. As of today I am all of a sudden feeling VERY pregnant, so pregnant in fact that I couldn't find a thing in my closet that actually fit today, so I hauled Adelie to my favorite maternity store->Old Navy and went on a small spree.  It is SO nice to have some long enough shirts and tanks to fit this belly! Which is out of control! I honestly didn't realize just how much larger (and faster) you show the second time around! My belly is hanging so far forward that my back is reallllly feeling the strain.
Coincidentally, B threw his back out at the beginning of the week at cross fit. He picked up a heating pad which we have been rotating between the two of us. All the while watching Frozen on a loop.
Even though I wish she would let it go, it's just too cute watching her get so excited over Salsa ;)

Adelie is currently cutting her 2 year molars and having quite the hard time of it. She's always been an awesome teether, but these are terrible and the poor girl is miserable :(  We're hoping they pop soon! After these, I'm pretty sure she will have all her teeth at 21 months!

In bed news, Adelie starting falling out of her half crib this week, making me feel awful and her terrified to sleep in it. It's just not big enough-I really need to finish her big girl bed asap! Until that happens I flipped the crib around so it was butt up to the wall creating four sides again.

This week I also took the dreaded glucose test- and got the labs back that I passed-wheww
Slightly nervous this time, as I have been snacking on nothing but ice cream and sweets this entire pregnancy! Little A sure does have a sweet tooth!!

One thing I have not yet shared,
Our family is growing again!
My dad and Grace are getting married! (In May!)
We are so excited for them and are so happy to welcome Grace into our family! :)
They will be going to Hawaii (jealous) for a honeymoon and get back just in time to come meet
Little A!

My healthy snack is usually always followed by

a highly unhealthy one, but whatever baby wants, baby gets ;)

I attempted to photograph some promotional items on Adelie yesterday, this is the outcome because girl was NOT having it and was a hot mess. Those molars can suck it!

See you soon baby girl!! Can't wait to dress you up to match your Big Sis ;)

Week: 26

Weight Gain: up 13lbs

Cravings: Ice Cream, candy, cold beverages

Clothing: Maternity comfiness from Old Navy ahhhh finally something to wear out of the house non sweatpants ;)

Best Moment this week: Getting the news that I passed my glucose test-bad news slightly anemic (but I already figured that)

Miss Anything? Sleeping flat on my belly, still semi belly sleeping/side sleeping with 5 million pillows

Movement? Tons, and hiccups at night

Anything making me sick or queasy? Nope

Mood: Happy, slightly tired

Looking forward to: getting caught up on things!

Week 25

Finally back from Vaca! Let me just say, being very pregnant with a toddler and three demanding businesses, vacation was amazing. Coming home it was so incredibly hard to get back into the swing of things! I literally had zero energy this week and no idea what even happened. It was a whirlwind of picking up toys, sewing teepees, editing photos and organizing spreadsheets. I think I slept and am almost positive I ate?  Talk about a crash course in welcome back from vacation.
Once I was caught back up from being gone, out of left field came this burst of energy! Adelie and I embarked on a mission this week to check off some of the big things on my todo list!

1.Finish the paint in the nursery and start setting up
2.paint Adelie's room
3.Paint Ads bed
4.Organize the baby clothes

I finally tackled all 5million baby clothes from Adelie, some of which came out of the totes with yellow stains-and on my favorite outfits! So here is what I did to save them!
Fill the washer with hot water and two scoops oxyclean, let the washer mix everything until all clothes are submerged.  Shut the washer off and let them soak over night. Turn back on in the morning. If you still see the spots, repeat the process (I did this twice) without drying in between-and whaala! Perfect teeny clothes with no spots!! :)

After taking a HUGE pile to Once Upon a Child, Little A's closet and dresser is now fully stocked with adorable clothes, and it only took a few trips to Target for extra hangers to complete :)

I took down a side of Adelie's crib to start the transition to a big girl bed and she is so excited about it!  The actual big girl bed is still being painted-since it's so cold, I'm painting in the basement and can only do so much at one time to avoid fumes! It's almost done and then we're on a mattress hunt!

I am feeling very pregnant-still moving good but holy cow I feel every turn she does and I can feel she is already a very large baby! Oy vey.  I'm wondering if I will make it to June or end up having a May baby!
Sorry Little A, mama didn't dry her hair this week, let alone get out her big girl camera for a photo

The makings of the upstairs guest bath-because I realized that the girls will always out number the boys in this house so why not make the GIRLS bathroom as girlie as possible ;)

Week: 25
Weight Gain: up 13lbs

Cravings: Spicy anything, ice cream, milk, candy

Clothing: starting to feel a little mean girls in the sense that the only thing that fits are sweatpants

Best Moment this week: Accomplishing all of the things we did! I knew the energy wouldn't last, so I pushed as much as I could and got as much done as possible!!

Miss Anything? The ability to move furniture and lift things haha

Movement? Tons, feeling everything she does in there!!

Anything making me sick or queasy? Nope

Mood: Good! Besides super annoyed with the inability to not being able to breathe out my nose, STILL

Looking forward to: finally finishing the nursery!!

week 23 & 24

Holy mydaysarerunningtogether. And this combined post has been up on my computer for a week and a half-so bear with me as I finally post the last few weeks ;).  These past few weeks, Im pretty sure little A has doubled in size because I feel her all day every day. Rolling, punching, kicking, this little one sure is full of sass!  Over the past few weeks (23 & 24) I celebrated my 26th Birthday and we went on our annual family vacay to Florida!  Although it was slightly colder than usual we still were able to lay out at the beach a few days and definitely came home with a little color :)  In the rush of getting everything packed/photos edited for my clients and the fact that I don't think I've changed out of my sweats once, I had a momfail and did not take chalkboard photos for week 23 & 24 wahh wahh sorry little babe! I did at least take bump selfies to document those two weeks ;)
Week 23 & My Birthday
Adelie finally got over her cold and I continued to be stuffed up severely. (Still am) but come to find out this is actually a lovely pregnancy thing called Pregnancy Rhinitis translation->constant congestion and the inability to breath out of my nose :( Easily the most frustrating pregnancy symptom I've ever experienced.  For my Birthday, B took me out on the town for dinner and virgin drinks with some friends. We ended up at a bar watching an extremely impressive 80's hairband perform live. Leather pants, permed locks, studs galore-these guys weren't holding back! The rest of week 23 was spent in a frenzy packing for our trip, shipping out orders for my teepee business , editing photos for my clients and breathing. Yes breathing-because lately breathing is such a chore! This little lady is either pushing on my lungs, of I'm not as young as I used to be ;) I had every intention of taking a Happy Birthday Mommy chalkboard pic but ughh breathing was more important ;)

Before my Monday night Volleyball games!

Florida Here we come!!!

moments later-the waves scared her, and so she sat down in them haha

Week 24 & Florida
FLORIDA! I was under the impression that we might not get to go because B has been so busy at work, however he surprised me 2 weeks out that we would be going! I think I like last minute vacays :)   The flight down was a piece of cake, Adelie slept the whole way-on her sister. The weather could have been warmer, but we did get to lay out so I'll take it! During the week B went golfing so Ads and I headed North to Tampa and went to the Lowry Zoo! I'm not sure why I even brought her stroller, Adelie turned into Miss Independent in FL insisting on walking everywhere and even
wait for it…
slept in her own big girl bed without any problems!
For nap time, she would literally walk into the room and crawl into the bed to lay down! We will be finishing her big girl bed soon and start the transition this month!!  Besides lounging on the beach with a few of our college friends (a few live down there, and one flew in from Chicago)  we also got to visit the Tampa Aquarium, that Adelie (and her parents) LOVED.  If saltwater aquariums weren't such a pain to maintain I would be all over that, but looks like we'll be settling on Mr. Beta-our Beta Fish ;)
Our flight home was a little more eventful. We had to be to the airport at 4:45am. Fine. Np. Connecting flight in Atl. to which we were supposed to have a 45 min lay over. Nope. Landed and had to book it to the next plane.  Adelie needed changed but there was no time.  We did two changes on that airplane. One standing up in the 2x2 bathroom because I couldn't find to unmarked changing table and the second 30 min later.  20 minutes from home I experience a warm trickling down my leg.  When we landed the third diaper change happened.  Being a mom is so glamorous ;)

We celebrated Valentines with this cutie over a chocolate covered Apple!!

Adelie was in heaven with so many cell phones to chat on. 1.5 going on 16

We've also entered the I can do everything on my own on my own time phase
Exhibit A. I'll come inside when I'm good and ready mom.

Our Zoo trip!

Don't even think about taking that away from her haha

watching Frozen with daddy for about the 5 millionth time-apologies to our friends who have been singing Let It Go for the past few weeks because they can't let it go.

obsessed with Salsa-(read Elsa)

These two will also be welcoming a little GIRL a week after us!

Adelie Jo Harper-20 months!

Family Selfie!

The Aquarium!

petting stingrays with daddy

Petting Starfish and other aquatic squishy things!

Adelie was a little leery of walking through the mist
We finished our vac a at the Disney Store, with a tea party and the one and only Frozen.
And Daddy became her favorite person, buying her, her very own Salsa.

Week: 23 & 24
Weight Gain: up 12lbs

Cravings: Spicy anything, ice cream

Clothing: sweats, a BATHING SUIT ;) and maxi dresses

Best Moment this week: 23-Getting to go out on the town with the Mr. and indulge in all food without guilt ;)  Week 24-Clearly Florida, but watching Adelie experience all of the new activities-the aquarium for sure!

Miss Anything? The ability to drink a tropical drink on the beach, what I wouldn't have given for a Pina Colada on the beach!

Movement? Yes hard kicks all the time and full body rolls :)

Anything making me sick or queasy? Nope

Mood: Happy and relaxed

Looking forward to: Meeting this babe! It is hitting me all at once how close we are!
