Saturday was the big race day! Our 5k run in honor of my mom.
Barbie Jo Watson
Yes it was cold, Yes it was early, but we were surrounded by lots of positive energy, good friends and many many memories. Around 3,000 people showed up to run the race to fight Colon Cancer and every single one of them was wearing Barbie Green ;) I would love to thank everyone who came out and ran with us, walked with us, cheered us on and to those who couldn't attend the race but ran their own 5k states away. A huge thank you to everyone who wore their green shirts yesterday and sent virtual hugs and encouragement. There were even a few people wearing shirts yesterday that had never met my mother, thank you for your support, you would have loved her! Adelie finally got to meet a few of my mothers very good friends and I thank YOU for both being such good friends. My mom sure knew how to pick 'em :) These past few years have been a struggle without her here and I just want to say
THANK YOU
for all the support and continued strength you give our family.
xoxo

A Few of our Family Members did their 5k in Florida & Minnesota!
Adelie has changed so much in the past two weeks it's crazy! Im pretty sure those days where she went without naps was due to some sort of growth spurt because all of a sudden she has all sorts of new tricks, is saying more "words" and won't sit still. My little model has transformed into a pampers cruiser model ;) All the new excitement has really encouraged her to be even more vocal, shrieking at everything…a baby, her dad, her brothers, complete strangers at the mall ;)
This week she has started saying "GAGA" and no I'm pretty sure its from listening to poker face every morning on our commute code word for doggy. Poor B. She'll say dada soon enough, we've been practicing :) She also almost pulled herself up yesterday! We were at Liams and she was sitting in the middle of the floor playing with toys. I turned my head for 30 seconds, as I was feeding Liam and homegirl was at the coffee table pulling herself up! I cannot believe she is getting so big.
She also had her 5th tooth pop through this week, with her 6th right behind it. She now has her bottom two top two and almost both canines :) And o boy she lovvveesss crunching her puffs with them! Now that she understands picking up food and putting it in her mouth, I'm going to start giving her fresh fruits and veggies chopped up this next week. I'm dreading the mess.
I have hauled up the pack and play to our main area and filled it with her toys. Im not sure what she's more excited about, the scratchy mesh siding or her own personal fort.
In shopping news, we are in desperate need to hit up the mall for some 12-18m clothing! Overnight, the 9m clothes that were sorta working, are definitely notworking anymore. I know, I know, twist my arm ;) Happy Saturday Everyone!
Breakfast at Liams
To Document her totally not sitting still for more than 3 seconds
People watching at the mall, waiting for Dr. Apple to open
And practicing her cheers!
A long week of chasing a baby and wishing time would stop =
So the reason this post is so late is because my baby, "Mac" had some hiccups and was sent to Dr. Apple for a checkup. And is finally home where he belongs ;) There has been so much that has happened it's unbelievable. I mean Adelie is walking and talking full sentences. Well no actually, she's not. Totally kidding! But she might as well be! She is scooting like crazy all over the place and jabbering nonstop! And while although it is not in the forward motion, she is scooting none the less! Everything is just grand until she runs into a wall and can no longer continue her backwards journey. This week we took a bazillionandone pictures. Partly because I had all these ideas floating around in my head and partly because I had two cute babies staring at me just asking to be photographed ;)
On Tuesday we had the worst experience to date. Adelie got her leg stuck in the crib. She was just in a onesie and had rolled to her belly and scooted through the crib rails all the way up to her little chubby thigh. She wasn't upset until I had to get her unstuck. Seeing the red ring on her leg was heartbreaking :( Needless to say we hurry up and ordered a bumper.
On thursday Adelie went
ALL DAY LONG
without a nap. She stayed awake and was going strong until 9pm that night! Holy Exhausted Mommy. But, she made up for it on Friday when she decided to say "Mama!" Yes friends, I am third on the list, behind "oink" which means baba and "Baba" which means feedmenow. ;) Come the weekend we said bye-bye to B as he boarded a plane to go win us some $$ in Vegas and we headed to Union City so we could visit family and so I had a babysitter. (March 1st was my first wedding of 2014). In the midst of packing everything for a baby/thedogs/myself/photography gear I forgot adelie's baby food. I thought, "I'll just be gone a little while, she'll be fine with just bottles"
Around 7, I got a text from Aunt Jam demanding where her food was because she was crying hysterically. Way to go Jacee. Thankfully my grandma came to my dads rescue and calmed her down and rocked her to sleep. I stopped and grabbed some stage 2 yummies on my way home, fed her and all was right again in Adelie's world. She sure is growing up to be the sweetest funniest little girl I know :)
Ever since I found out I was pregnant I have wanted to take a picture of her in a bowl of lucky charms, this shoot was my favorite thus far! p.s. she totally snuck a marshmallow and loved it :)
Adelie found the gag present from our wedding ;)
My second favorite shoot ever ;)
The sweet present I received in the mail from one of my mothers high school friends :) My mothers, mine and Adelie's birthstones a heart and some wings :*)
This picture got featured on @ig_kids :)
We got shirts printed in honor of my mother since we are running in a Colon Cancer awareness Run on March 15th. Yes, there will be snow on the ground. No, I have not trained yet.
Also cut my brothers hair. And left a rattail.
On sunday Adelie got to play with her second cousins Daiya, who was happy to see her
