Christmas!

Christmas is SO much more fun with a toddler!! Seeing her face light up on Christmas morning just might have been the highlight of my year :)  Our Christmas celebrations this year were rather low key, and I wouldn't have had it any other way! Christmas Eve is always spent at Grandpa and Nana Becks house. We feasted (not on roast beast ;) but did feast feast feast! The kiddos rocked around the Christmas tree with their new push button toys, so it was also a rather loud Christmas :)
Christmas morning we woke up around 7:30 and made our way downstairs to celebrate our last Christmas as a family of three (crazy!) This year we opted to splurge on one large present for Adelie,
The teepee
and a few accessories for it, special fuzzy teepee blankets and a few garlands made by me :)  It's safe to say it was a complete hit! Every single one of us has napped in it, last night-was the dogs turn ;)  Adelie has been stock piling her babies and Christmas goodies in it for the past few days. She is literally taking her shopping cart around, collecting things to bring back and put in the teepee ;)
Around 4, the Watson crew made their way up to celebrate, this might be a new tradition! Papa Ron brought Adelie a Woody doll (from toy story) because she needed a "boy toy" haha :) Which went perfect with her new horse rocker! Uncle Jory might have been Adelie's favorite part of the celebrations- they were like two peas in a pod running around the house, playing in the teepee and giving horesy rides! We had so much fun with him, he came back up on Saturday to hang out again!
What a Christmas! We have so much to be thankful this year. Wonderful friends and family, our health and each other.
Looking forward to 2015
expanding our family and new business ventures

Week 16

This was the BIGGEST crazy icantbelieveikeptmymouthshut week! My dad gave us the news that he was buying us an early ultrasound as our Christmas gift!! Since we were'n telling anyone that we were getting this done we were able to surprise my family at dinner that night after the ultrasound and Brandon's the next day at Christmas Eve! I made a Boy and a Girl ornament to break the news. Obviously my family knew that they were opening the gender but Brandon's had NO IDEA and it was SO fun to surprise them!

Nana Beck's Reaction

I've had a feeling this whole time that Baby #2 was a girl, just like I felt with Adelie. And JUST like with Adelie I woke up the morning of the ultrasound suddenly feeling baby was a boy. Probably just didn't want to get to cocky in my intuitions ;)
The ultrasound place was so incredibly cool! Really regretting not getting one done with Adelie, not only did we get to see the baby in 3d and take home a handful of cute pictures but we also got a digital copy of the ultrasound :)
18min compressed in 5min by me ;)

SHE was completely cooperative and right away showed us that she was 100% girl! I am so excited for Ads to have a sister!! Especially because they will be close in age AND i'll get to see all those adorable clothes again ;)  Brandon still has his heart on a little boy-we are saving him for last born ;)

Week: 16

Weight Gain: up

Cravings: Cream soda, spicy foods, potatoes, sweets

Clothing: sweats sweats sweats-outfit of the year!

Best Moment this week: Finding out that the sweet little one kicking around in there is a precious baby girl. Can't believe we are going to have two little girls!! Something we've always joked about!

Miss Anything? Daylight! I feel like just about the time I'm moving pretty good for the day it gets dark out again waawaaa :(

Movement? yup! Started quite frequently right at 14weeks-little kicks here and there :)

Anything making me sick or queasy? Last Saturday I went to the grocery first thing in the am with Adelie to get all of our groceries for the week.  I didn't eat or drink anything that morning. Went straight there. Got two aisles in (I always start at the back of the store) and started sweating like crazy and seeing black. I have never felt like that before. I wasn't sure if I was going to throw up in the middle of the aisle or pass out. It was all I could do to make it to the front of the store and get to the car.  I asked my Dr. about it at my apt and she said during this point in my pregnancy my cardiovascular system is working on overdrive to accommodate the wee one so I need to eat more, drink more and not stand for long periods of time. Ugh! I guess it's only fair I have some pregnancy symptoms this time around ;)

Mood: tired at the moment a little under the weather

Looking forward to: Relaxing with my family this weekend!! Nothing planned except lots of playtime and extra snuggles!

Gender? Girl

Worst part of the week: The whole almost fainting in the grocery store thing...

Since I didn't write it on the board this week, baby is the size of an avocado, about 4-5inches long. Roughly the size of your palm :)

Week 15

Finally had a spare second to sit down and actually write this post! HA! FINALLY caught up on all my editing which has taken front and center, and what a weight off my shoulders to be done!! Now complete focus is on family and the Holidays!! Week 15 came and went in a blink of an eye, I literally took my 15 week picture on the eve of week 16, but hey, I did it! Your second pregnancy goes SO much fast than your first, it's unreal!! You aren't constantly obsessing with every little thing because you have a toddler keeping your attention-and OH WHAT FUN! Having children is sort of like carting around your best friend all the time. We have so much fun together. We literally do
e v e r y t h i n g together, so I'm a little concerned just where this second little baby will fit.  I know everyone goes through the tough transition from one to two so thats a little reassuring, but I'm a little anxious when our twosome turns into a threesome. Hopefully this baby loves shopping, playing babies and group bubble baths ;)
This past week we also had some house guests as I hosted our friends Christmas-movies, dinner and low key, pajama wearing festive fun was had by all :) The stockings are hung, most of the presents are wrapped and we are SO ready for Christmas!!! A more in depth week 16 post to follow tomorrow :)

Big Sister Adelie!

Week: 15

Weight Gain: up 6lbs

Cravings: Cream soda, spicy foods, pasta, milk, ice cream, cinnamon candy

Clothing: sweats and anything comfy!

Best Moment this week: When Brandon said Adelie could just sleep with us one night last week because, "she just looks so cute" I love snuggling with her at night-she loves kicking her dad in the head hahaha

Miss Anything? Wine and the ability to sleep through the night

Movement? yup! Started quite frequently right at 14weeks-little kicks here and there :)

Anything making me sick or queasy? Liam's diapers still <- i don't think that will ever change ;) not eating before activities

Mood: tired-getting more energy by the day :)

Looking forward to: Finding out just who is in there and seeing Adelie's face light up when She see's what Santa brought her ;)

Gender? I'm still saying girl

Worst part of the week: Finding a few chewed up diapers-thanks dogs

Dreams? Had a dream we had a boy! I woke up sad haha

um. week 14! And 11-13 ;)

Well after a small case of whatsashowerliveinmypajamas syndrome, and after an ultrasound moving up my due date, I am officially in week 14 of this pregnancy! And let me tell you it is flying by! Baby is the size of a lemon or a clenched fist! I can;t believe I'm only a month away from being halfway done! I think chasing a toddler around and all these holiday festivities are really helping move things along.  I was able to see Adelie on the big screen when she was just a little bitty bean-and then again when she was 20weeks. This time I was sent for a dating ultrasound because lets state the obvious I am much larger than I should be. It was so unbelievably cool to see baby #2 at 13weeks because that was no bean at all! It was an actually baby! We watched the baby kick around and put the hands up by the face, I really could have have watched that all day long, so incredibly sweet and surreal.  Speaking of kicking-I feel tiny jabs every so often and what an incredible and reassuring feeling :)  So far (besides the small bout of nausea in the beginning) this pregnancy is just like Adelie's just a little more exhausting from now having a small child to run after ;) On saturday we attended B's work party where mama made it out until 2am. That is insane-considering my normal bedtime is 8:30. haha!

Week 11-13
This is just a quick snip it of pictures because I could barley muster enough energy to do anything these weeks. I was exhausted both physically and mentally.  In these weeks we celebrated Thanksgiving to two cities, went shopping, family skating, attended festivals and parties,  but hardest of all we buried my momma.  That sole event was extremely draining and emotional, which may have led to my horrible migraines :*(
food, beer and wine fest-where I found my new love

Week: 14

Weight Gain: need to check still

Cravings: Cream soda, spicy foods, pasta, milk

Clothing: pajamas ha

Best Moment this week: When Big Sister pulled up her shirt and used the doppler to find the babies heart beat. All on her own- I couldn't stop laughing and we've rewatched it a million times!

Miss Anything? This weekend it would have been amazing to indulge in a cocktail with everyone!

Movement? yup! Started quite frequently right at 14weeks

Anything making me sick or queasy? Liam's diapers, over eating-because I'm hungry alllll the time!

Mood: Exhausted

Looking forward to: Early January when I know what color to paint that nursery!haha AND this weekend when I get to see all most of my girlfriends for our annual Christmas :)

Gender? I'm still saying girl-with my new dd the Chinese gender predictor says Boy-Brandon is ecstatic about that ;).

Worst part of the week: The headaches I have gotten-I rarely get headaches and I've gotten 3 migraines within the past few weeks-ugh

Dreams? Last night we were in a walking dead type scenario with flying creatures- wish I could elaborate but it was literally too weird

Week 10

Week 10 Coming to you a few days late. But whats new?? I could barely change out of my sweats this week let alone make myself presentable for a picture;) We've been listening to baby almost daily on the doppler, Adelie gets a kick out of hearing the heartbeat and puts the receiver up to her ear to get a better listen ;) When you ask her,"Where's the Baby?" she promptly lifts her shirt up to show you her belly. Sometimes she lifts it a little too far, her dads been working with her on that. haha.
As far as this pregnancy is concerned it feels identical to Adelie's now.  I haven't been nauseous since about the 2 weeks after I found out and I remember being totally exhausted with her :)  Officially 1/4 of the way done, I'm looking forward to the second trimester and getting some energy back!! :)

And a few of the most adorable Big Sister ;)

Week: 10

Weight Gain: up 6lbs

Cravings: Ice cream, cheese, salt, pop ya know all the things I was told to avoid-blah

Clothing: Sweats. I'm pretty sure I've got dressed once this week. maybe..

Best Moment this week: Watching the polar vortex happening outside, not comprehending that I would later have to drive in it lol

Miss Anything? The ability to stay up past 8pm. It's like clockwork once it turns dark out my eyes shut.

Movement? not yet

Anything making me sick or queasy? Cleaning up dog vomit (from eating our socks)<-ick. And Liam's smelly diapers. Adelie's do not make me gag but holy cow I can't take his.

Mood: Emotional and exhausted still

Looking forward to: A night on the town with B this weekend for a food and wine festival. Bummed I can't partake in the wine tasting but super looking forward to the food ;)

Gender? All the old wives tales say Girl, my gut says girl.

Worst part of the week: WHEN PEOPLE/DOGS EAT MY FOOD. Brandon got a rude awakening when I went downstairs Sunday morning to eat my leftover I had been craving and there lie my beloved leftover box. EMPTY.  He is sharing the doghouse with Lewis who yesterday ate my specially bought just for me cheese dip in the time it took me to run to the mailbox and back. Walk through the front door to Lewis with a yellow ring around his muzzle. Word to the wise. NEVER EAT A PREGNANT GIRLS FOOD.

Dreams? Non this week-RLS is getting better but the frequent bathroom trips at night are getting a little annoying.

Week 9

9w and finally starting to feel like I did with Adelie :) I think I'm past the nausea, but like with Adelie I've moved into the insomnia. Usually around 3/4 in the morning I have my mid-night bathroom break and then toss and turn for a few hours before finally falling back asleep :(  I still cannot believe how early/much I've popped this time around, glad to have passed the "is she or isn't she pregnant" phase, but holy cow!
This post is a few days late- but, have I mentioned I'm exhausted?
 haha
I took my bump picture on Monday right before my volleyball game-in my Barbie Green Barbie shirt :) It was amazing to be back on the court in my high school shoes and ankle braces ;)
because I could find any of my college shoes?
On Sunday marked 4 years since my mom has been gone, so this past week was also a pretty emotional one :( As time goes on I find it harder to recognize this date as it just brings back tons of painful memories, so instead of shutting myself in, Adelie and I went shopping with my dad's wallet ;) Just like my mama would have done! I will be repainting/decorating my dad's dining room this weekend with Adelie's help and am SO excited to see everything come together :) My vehicle is packed full of new updates for the room including one very large folddowntwoseats area rug-I will definitely post before and after pictures :) Here's to hoping I don't end up with little handprints all over the walls from my assistant ;)

My gal pal childhood friend Morgan and her daughter Natalie came up yesterday to hangout and take Nat's pictures, Can't believe we're old married and moms nowX) haha

Shopping with my Mini "me's" <---Ah!

Week: 9

Weight Gain: up 5lbs

Cravings: Veggies, Fruit, Strawberry Lemonade, anything Spicy, leftover Halloween candy ;)

Clothing: I have barely wore anything besides sweats for the past two months, but when I do "dress up" (I say that loosely ;) Leggings and maternity shirts from OldNavy :) It's all about comfort

Best Moment this week: Getting to play volleyball for the first time in FOREVER. It felt so great to be back on the court-the bump only got in the net a few times ;)

Miss Anything? Not being able to dive after those volleyballs haha

Movement? not yet

Anything making me sick or queasy? In the middle of the night I've been getting RLS restless leg syndrome after my mid night bathroom break, the combination of that and having an escalated body temp make me a little queasy at night.

Mood: Emotional and exhausted

Looking forward to: Our first actual drs visit the wednesday before Thanksgiving :) And I'm pretty sure we will be opting to find out if baby Beck is a boy or girl as my Christmas present at an alternative ultrasound place :) EEK!

Gender? I have thought another girl since day 1, or triplets ;) But lately I've thinking there might be a little boy in there! Brandon would be SO excited!

Worst part of the week: Deciding to take a nap because I was so unbelievably tired only to wake up even more tired than before :( Can't wait to get some energy back!

Dreams? Non this week- but lots of insomnia!
