Week 29 & 30

We definitely got our baby fill this few weeks, as my studio has been hopping with newborns!  It is so nice to snuggle these sweet babies and a great reminder of how small and helpless they are.  The second time around there is such a calming effect that takes over-I am definitely more laid back and not as focused on the pregnancy in general. (After all I live with a toddler who requires my constant attention)  This is both a blessing and a curse-blessing, because the time has flown by{obviously because I a currently almost a whole month behind on blog updates!} and a curse because I feel like poor A has already fallen between the cracks in the documenting process, but I've made it a point to get caught up on my journal and finish her nursery-which I am so in LOVE with!
I'm not one to stick with a theme-I am a color fanatic who likes to just pick colors and prints and throw them together, her nursery is no exception ;)  Colors keep adding themselves and I'm so excited to see it all put together :)
My stress level has started to take it's toll, so I've been pulling back in on my busy-ness.  I have been swamped with orders and photos lately, that I have started experiencing Braxton Hicks contractions like no other-girl needs to stay put for several more weeks, so I made the executive decision to put a halt on teepee orders and slow my photo lineup. I already feel less stressed and so glad I can now give my girl more undivided attention before she has to share me.

a little comparison week 18 vs 30

With a super growing belly and a growing toddler, we went on a small shopping spree for bigger clothes for both of us-H&M was the winner for Adelie and Old Navy for me!
Word to the wise-Old Navy has thee most comfortable maternity clothes! (Yes, I actually bought some this time around ;)

Black box necessary to cover up the letters in A's name ;) almost slipped and post the unedited photo!

Two A's for my girls :)

Adelie's bed is all finished!

but lately she's been trying to sleep elsewhere ;)

We got to play family to these little chickies for my Easter Mini sessions-I wanted so badly to keep them forever-but alas they went to live on my good friends farm ;)

You can find me on Facebook Here
And my website Here

This was also the annual St Patty's day race, raising awareness for Colon Cancer.
A group of us ran/walked in my mom's memory.
Adelie and I walked 3/4 of the way but the cold finally was too much for Adelie to bear and she started crying, and I started having braxton hicks from the power walking so we jumped into the return lane.

I definitely jogged the home stretch to cross the finish line-you should have seen the impressed faces as a heavily pregnant lady jogged across the finish line pushing a stroller with zero sweat on her face and a killer time ;)

Week: 29 & 30

Weight Gain: up 25lbs

Cravings: Spicy anything, cold beverages, sweets, cereal (cinnamon toast crunch & Life) cheese, yogurt fruit and granola

Clothing: Maxi skirts and sweats- maternity shirts from ON

Best Moment this week: playing with the chickies and watching Adelie squeal over them ;) And walking for my mama.

Miss Anything? The ability to sleep on my belly/sleep in general. Between the big belly and insomnia I'm averaging about 5/6 hours of sleep.

Movement? I feel her all the time, taking up every inch in there! And much sharper jabs!

Anything making me sick or queasy? Nope, but if I lay halfway back on pillows I tend to get an acid feeling in my throat. still. blah

Mood: a little less stressed but still pretty overwhelmed.

Looking forward to: Painting the crib! As soon as the weather improves!

Week 28

We survived St. Patricks day! And by we, I mine I. One of the hardest things about being pregnant is the inability to partake in social activities.
And O'Douls are just not the same.
We played it low key again this year at our friends house, grilling out and mingling with our kiddos.  Our neighborhood is packed full of young families with kids and Adelie is finally at the age where she legitimately enjoys playing with others (specifically dress up in princess dresses with Brynn-or as Adelie calls her baby brynn)  Brynn is a year older than Ads mind you ;)
I am running out of clothes to wear. THAT is a true statement.
It's getting down to just a few outfits & sweats these days so it better start warming up so I can break out my Maxi dresses! #lifesavers.
This is what everyday life looks like lately. Living in Brandon's sweats, no makeup and zero energy.

Cereal everyday. And two times this week I poured a glass of milk and had to add cereal in it.

Adelie picked out her new chair in preparation for warmer weather!!

Drs apt went good, measuring right on time and baby sounds good! Big sister is SO excited and shouted "BABY!" when we heard your heartbeat :)

Still playing volleyball! Not jumping but staying active!
**This was also my last game playing as the following week I overdid it and my body was saying no way.  It was also our last game, so I made it almost the entire season!

The luckiest little leprechaun I know!

St. Pattys Party!

Ads and Baby Brynn :)

We also journeyed to Kalamazoo this week to hang out with some of the ladies in my family! (and Jax) :) This summer our family is welcoming three new babies! My two cousins and myself! We all got married in the same year and here we are 5 years later welcoming babies within months of each other!

Get togethers are SO much more fun with babies/toddlers, most of our visit was spent watching Adelie and Jax just interact and play-they are so fun and quirky!! (they're only 3 days apart)

Week: 28

Weight Gain: up 22lbs

Cravings: Spicy anything, cold beverages, sweets, cereal (cinnamon toast crunch & Life)

Clothing: Maxi skirts and sweats

Best Moment this week: Spending time with my little family and relaxing!

Miss Anything? The ability to sleep on my belly!

Movement? I feel her all the time, taking up every inch in there!

Anything making me sick or queasy? Nope, but if I lay halfway back on pillows I tend to get an acid feeling in my throat.

Mood: Overwhelmed. Started a todo list to check off all the orders and projects I have to complete.

Looking forward to: The race for my mama next Saturday!!

Week 27

So something big happened this week.
The name I was set on is no longer her name.
In Florida, B said her name and it just sounded off.  Since then we have been talking about different options and as of wednesday, her name is now set in stone.
I have personalized outfits & I have ordered her quilt with her name on it.
It's still an A name, so she is still little A :)

I knew this was going to happen eventually, but I can feel the energy leaving my body.  I'm starting to coast on what energy I do have and am struggling to finish all of the half done projects sitting around my house. I'm chalking it up to carrying an extra 40lbs around on a daily basis.  Between these two girls-that is a lot of extra weight my back is supporting, especially because I carry so super out front.
That has got to be the one downfall I've had this pregnancy. Because this time, I'm not only toting around this ginormous belly but also a growing chickadee named Adelie ;)

It is FINALLY feeling like springtime here in Michigan!! This post has actually been wrote since Friday but we've been a little sidetracked getting muddy playing outside in the sunshine!! Adelie is obsessed with the play climber she received last year for her Birthday (from papa ron) and is even going down the slide by herself! This is BIG news because as of last month she was terrified.
We went to Catch Air again, this time with Liam WOW and Aunt Erin. Mama was definitely slower this time around and that might have been my last excursion there until after this babe is born ;)
The end of week 27 has started to feel very much like week 37
81-ish days to go!
(I've changed my mind and feel like this one might come early)
#notopposed

I also cannot find the energy to write on a chalkboard anymore, please forgive me little A!

One more sleep in her half/crib before her big girl bed is officially assembled!!

throw back to last year!

Next year, we'll be able to stuff little sister in there!

Big Sister is ready to hand over her crib!!

Week: 27

Weight Gain: up 18lbs

Cravings: Spicy anything, cold beverages, yogurt granola and fruit

Clothing: Maxi skirts and sweats

Best Moment this week: Finishing Adelie's bed! All thats left is a mattress!

Miss Anything? Energy-its starting to be non existent

Movement? I feel her all the time, taking up every inch in there!

Anything making me sick or queasy? Nope

Mood: Getting a little stressed out with all the projects I have to do yet

Looking forward to: A play date with my expanding family on tuesday!!!

Week 26

One day away from the third trimester! And this post is actually being posted in the correct week? Crazy. As of today I am all of a sudden feeling VERY pregnant, so pregnant in fact that I couldn't find a thing in my closet that actually fit today, so I hauled Adelie to my favorite maternity store->Old Navy and went on a small spree.  It is SO nice to have some long enough shirts and tanks to fit this belly! Which is out of control! I honestly didn't realize just how much larger (and faster) you show the second time around! My belly is hanging so far forward that my back is reallllly feeling the strain.
Coincidentally, B threw his back out at the beginning of the week at cross fit. He picked up a heating pad which we have been rotating between the two of us. All the while watching Frozen on a loop.
Even though I wish she would let it go, it's just too cute watching her get so excited over Salsa ;)

Adelie is currently cutting her 2 year molars and having quite the hard time of it. She's always been an awesome teether, but these are terrible and the poor girl is miserable :(  We're hoping they pop soon! After these, I'm pretty sure she will have all her teeth at 21 months!

In bed news, Adelie starting falling out of her half crib this week, making me feel awful and her terrified to sleep in it. It's just not big enough-I really need to finish her big girl bed asap! Until that happens I flipped the crib around so it was butt up to the wall creating four sides again.

This week I also took the dreaded glucose test- and got the labs back that I passed-wheww
Slightly nervous this time, as I have been snacking on nothing but ice cream and sweets this entire pregnancy! Little A sure does have a sweet tooth!!

One thing I have not yet shared,
Our family is growing again!
My dad and Grace are getting married! (In May!)
We are so excited for them and are so happy to welcome Grace into our family! :)
They will be going to Hawaii (jealous) for a honeymoon and get back just in time to come meet
Little A!

My healthy snack is usually always followed by

a highly unhealthy one, but whatever baby wants, baby gets ;)

I attempted to photograph some promotional items on Adelie yesterday, this is the outcome because girl was NOT having it and was a hot mess. Those molars can suck it!

See you soon baby girl!! Can't wait to dress you up to match your Big Sis ;)

Week: 26

Weight Gain: up 13lbs

Cravings: Ice Cream, candy, cold beverages

Clothing: Maternity comfiness from Old Navy ahhhh finally something to wear out of the house non sweatpants ;)

Best Moment this week: Getting the news that I passed my glucose test-bad news slightly anemic (but I already figured that)

Miss Anything? Sleeping flat on my belly, still semi belly sleeping/side sleeping with 5 million pillows

Movement? Tons, and hiccups at night

Anything making me sick or queasy? Nope

Mood: Happy, slightly tired

Looking forward to: getting caught up on things!

Week 25

Finally back from Vaca! Let me just say, being very pregnant with a toddler and three demanding businesses, vacation was amazing. Coming home it was so incredibly hard to get back into the swing of things! I literally had zero energy this week and no idea what even happened. It was a whirlwind of picking up toys, sewing teepees, editing photos and organizing spreadsheets. I think I slept and am almost positive I ate?  Talk about a crash course in welcome back from vacation.
Once I was caught back up from being gone, out of left field came this burst of energy! Adelie and I embarked on a mission this week to check off some of the big things on my todo list!

1.Finish the paint in the nursery and start setting up
2.paint Adelie's room
3.Paint Ads bed
4.Organize the baby clothes

I finally tackled all 5million baby clothes from Adelie, some of which came out of the totes with yellow stains-and on my favorite outfits! So here is what I did to save them!
Fill the washer with hot water and two scoops oxyclean, let the washer mix everything until all clothes are submerged.  Shut the washer off and let them soak over night. Turn back on in the morning. If you still see the spots, repeat the process (I did this twice) without drying in between-and whaala! Perfect teeny clothes with no spots!! :)

After taking a HUGE pile to Once Upon a Child, Little A's closet and dresser is now fully stocked with adorable clothes, and it only took a few trips to Target for extra hangers to complete :)

I took down a side of Adelie's crib to start the transition to a big girl bed and she is so excited about it!  The actual big girl bed is still being painted-since it's so cold, I'm painting in the basement and can only do so much at one time to avoid fumes! It's almost done and then we're on a mattress hunt!

I am feeling very pregnant-still moving good but holy cow I feel every turn she does and I can feel she is already a very large baby! Oy vey.  I'm wondering if I will make it to June or end up having a May baby!
Sorry Little A, mama didn't dry her hair this week, let alone get out her big girl camera for a photo

The makings of the upstairs guest bath-because I realized that the girls will always out number the boys in this house so why not make the GIRLS bathroom as girlie as possible ;)

Week: 25
Weight Gain: up 13lbs

Cravings: Spicy anything, ice cream, milk, candy

Clothing: starting to feel a little mean girls in the sense that the only thing that fits are sweatpants

Best Moment this week: Accomplishing all of the things we did! I knew the energy wouldn't last, so I pushed as much as I could and got as much done as possible!!

Miss Anything? The ability to move furniture and lift things haha

Movement? Tons, feeling everything she does in there!!

Anything making me sick or queasy? Nope

Mood: Good! Besides super annoyed with the inability to not being able to breathe out my nose, STILL

Looking forward to: finally finishing the nursery!!
