Freshly Picked Giveaway

Today we are bringing you an incredibly fun giveaway sponsored by the fabulous up and coming company Freshly Picked.  The name might sound familiar if you watch Shark Tank.  Susan Petersen creator and founder of Freshly Picked Moccasins appeared on the show a few weeks ago and landed a deal, skyrocketing her little handmade business to stardom.

I have been following FP on instagram for a while now and was in love with the bright colored moccs that I was noticing just about everywhere! They seriously come in every color you can think of and I completely understand the desire to have one of each for your mini! 

After a few emails, Freshly Picked asked if we would like to review a pair of moccs and host a giveaway. pause Umm Cheeeyyaaaaa!

Today Adelie's beyond cute pair of Platinum Leather Moccasins arrived in the mail.

Being a Marketing major, the presentation is very impressive.  The Moccs come in a cute little linen bag with a fun FP pin. Now I have to admit, these cuties come with a pretty steep sticker price at $60 a pop so I had been a little leery to order a pair knowing how fast Adelie has been growing (She's in 12m Clothing now, what?!)  Since they are only available online for us Midwesterners, seeing them in person was not an option. I had heard the raves about how great they were but never had the chance to try them out for myself Adelie.  In the past I had ordered some baby moccs from discount sites such as groopdealz, but was unimpressed. They were pleather at best and really stiff :( The Freshly Picked Moccs are genuine leather. They look better. Smell Better and are super soft for little Ankles ;)
I know it goes without saying, but
better quality = more moolah.
If the sticker price is a little out of your price range, watch for sales! They have flash sales pop up frequently! :)

Let's talk about the moccs themselves. Not only are they super soft for baby feet, but they are perfect for babies like Adelie that have a case of the

They have elastic around the ankles! As much as Ads kicks they don't come off! Even Brandon who rarely comments on baby fashion, was raving about them! We are so sick of picking baby shoes up off the floor ;)

I ordered size 3 for Adelie. They are a touch big, but it'll give her room to grow and will continue to fit her when she starts walking<----scary!!

Week 33

This week I turned a quarter of a century old!  Although Adelie is my favorite gift for life, I had a wonderful Birthday out on the town with friends.  Adelie got to have a long overdue sleepover with
g + g Beck, and she had so much fun! Between our Florida vacation and theirs, they haven't had her overnight in several weeks! Grandma was more than excited to swoop her up for the night.

Babes is still teetering on the edge of crawling. She gets up on all fours but results in a nose dive..she's going on three weeks of being ohsoclose, she's bound to take off here soon!

Milestones we're reaching:
She has figured out how to wave her little hand :)  Not necessarily on demand but you can catch her waving periodically throughout the day ;)
She pants when she's excited. And gets super squirmy when Brandon walks through the door :)
She is automatically in a good mood if you stand her up. Maybe she'll walk before she crawls??
She wears size 4 diapers (we're still favoring luvs) and is still eating stage 2 foods three times a day.
She has really taken a notice of different textures in our house/dogs/faces. Sometimes she pulls a little hard, so we are working on the word "nice"

Week 32

It's no surprise, but this past week we have been so incredibly busy!!! Lot's of photo shoots, both of my cute clients and Miss Ads went on her first model casting call! She got the job! Both her and her BFF Natalie were selected to model for the sassy baby toy company. The photo shoot was today and they did AMAZING! Seriously was so fun, but slightly odd to sit back and watch someone else work behind the camera ;) The studio was my dream studio! One day I will have a space to call my own! ;)

On a different note, we finally were able to hit up Adelie's 6 month apt<-which consisted of three shots :( Completely heartbreaking to pin her down, watch her turn bright red and cry so incredibly hard.  

We have got the ok to start on solid foods three times a day and to start incorporating water every now and then.  She is growing like a weed and the Dr. had nothing but positive things to say about her :)  

However, the next three days post shots, poor baby just wasn't herself and had a runny nose.  It was so sad that Brandon actually said she could sleep in our bed ;)

After my SIL suggested a mesh teether to start introducing real foods, we went out and got one! She LOVES it! I've put chunks of apple in it, bananas and the baby puffs! The only draw back is, it is SO incredibly messy! I'm talking strip her down and an immediate bath ;)

After Valentines, newborns and some other fun shoots Adelie and I traveled south on Sunday for some more shoots outdoors! Of course she stayed inside and visited with my fam and got to play with her new pink & purple ride on truck! Since all of my sister (Jamisons) little tikes + fisher price toys burnt up when my dad had the fire in the garage, the insurance paid for us to replace them! This means that Adelie now has tons of fun new toys at Papa Ron's house! She looked so cute in her truck!

In crazy news: While outside taking pictures in the ridiculously deep snow, my sister had both mine and her iphones in her pocket. Both fell out as we were moving around the field. Mine was dead, hers on vibrate.  It is sheer dumb luck, and after a good 40min of shoveling our footprints that I found both of them! And they both worked just fine! Talk about a panic attack realizing my babies daily pictures were buried in the snow potentially lost forever.

Adelie is now scooting backwards. That's one step closer to crawling ;)

When we sleep, she curls into me and for a moment I have my belly back :)
