Week 51

Well I blinked and a whole week year has flown by. As usual I take on way too many things and I am scrambling to get everything in order for Adelie's first Birthday. During our constant gogogo-ings Adelie cut the left lower molar and come to find out, the top two as well! No wonder the poor girl was in such a sad mood over the weekend!  She broke 5 fevers between Thursday and Sunday and just simply wasn't herself.  Not much of an appetite and wanting to be snuggled all day long. Twist my arm. My baby is going to be one in just a few days, I will gladly snuggle her whenever she wants.  Our main goal last week was taking a few more Birthday pictures so I could print them off to hang at her party.  Her Birthday chair finally came in the mail and I was so excited to use it in her pictures! She loves it!!
We celebrated Fathers Day on Saturday with a cookout followed by another cookout on Sunday ;)  Adelie picked out her own card (a dinosaur one) and we traced her little hand on it.  She also picked out a green golf shirt and a set of mini golf clubs for her to play in the yard with daddy.  Now if only she would start walking ;)  She still only takes about 3 steps before diving into my arms giggling.
We experienced our first "outdoor accident" on saturday as Adelie fell on the concrete skinning the side of her face a little and getting a bloody lip :( Perfect timing.  It's actually looking much better and should be all gone by her birthday :)  We are 3 days away from having a toddler and are so flooded with emotions.  This past year has been the happiest of our lives and we are so blessed to call her ours.

Aunt Jam's Graduation

On Monday we headed home for Jamison's (aka Aunt Jam) 8th grade graduation.  My baby sister is officially in the high school. She was born in 2000. That makes me feel so incredibly old. Adelie and I joined my family in the extremely hot and packed middle school gym for 2 hours while they handed out awards and certificates to the kids.  Adelie chimed in and cheered loudly close to the entire time, even during the silent parts.. ;) Great Aunt JoJo tried her bed to keep her quiet, but the girl just had too much to say! Great Granny brought her a new baby and she squealed and hugged it, patting its back and then decided to start throwing it at people. And her binky…the favorite game.  We were glad to escape as soon as it ended, making our way to the park for some pizza and cake with the family.  The perfect celebration for our sweet girl.

It has been so fun watching Jamison grow up and I am so proud of her and all that she was forced to overcome.  Losing my mom was the hardest thing I've ever experienced (or ever will) at 21 years old. Jamison was 10.  My mom was her biggest fan and would have given anything to be there cheering her on in the stands, and you can bet she would have been the loudest! :)
We love you James!
