15m BooBoos and Fall Festiveness!

Last week we experienced our first bee sting. Yes it was terrible. Yes, there were lot's of tears, but we now know that she is not allergic to bees. So that's a positive right? I looked up from editing on my computer to a red faced Adelie pinching a honeybee in-between her little fingers. It took a solid hour for both of us to calm down. B stayed calm the whole time-thank goodness.
Finally getting over the bee sting incident, we have moved onto the canine teeth.  Adelie has been such a trooper dealing with all her teeth over the past year-She now has 14! The molars were fierce (as she got all four at the same time) and these canines are equally as terrible! I'm not one for medicating-I couldn't even tell you where medicine is in our house or what we have, but Adelie's teething meds have been on the island in our kitchen for a week now.  One popped through last night, so I see light at the end of our tunnel!!
It is now late September and we are almost caught up from our busy August. Photography is finally starting to slow down just a touch-Enough for me to finally blog!  This house feels like or home and we are lovvving it :) Having a studio within eyesight of Adelie's playroom is probably the biggest blessing. Although lets be real-whenever i have a session she smooshes her face up against the glass tapping on it laughing ;)
I made a trip to Ikea before a wedding a few weekends ago and hit the jackpot on curtains-Looking for affordable/adorable curtains? Look no further ;) Starting with a blank (literally) slate of a house I've been adding pops of jewel tone colors throughout the downstairs, including these beautiful deep radiant orchid curtains in Adelie's playroom and these in the living room.
Adelie's hair is slowly filling in and looking more Auburn as it grows.  Her favorite activities continue to be babies and playing kitchen but with the new addition of shopping bags ;)  She hauls around as many bags as she can find, reusable grocery bags, plastic ones, backpacks...stuffing any and everything in them. She loves zooming up and down the stairs with a baby in each hand-we've only had a few accidents, but nothing major.  We do not have any baby gates up at our house-I wanted her to know how to use the stairs rather then keep it off limits.
Since Fall is officially on us, we picked up a few items that are quickly becoming our favorite go-tos including a pair of yellow skinny's a leopard print top and a fur vest! A baby, in a fur vest? The cutest thing on the planet!!** She is straight up fierce with it on ;)
Our front porch got a festive facelift after Ads and I visited the local greenhouse.  She is every bit of her grandmothers granddaughter ;)
Tomorrow we welcome home B, (who was out of state on biz) and head to the Wild Animal Park!  I've head great things about it, and can't wait to share our visit! :)

One of our sweet finds at a garage sale! An almost brand new jogging stroller-Now...to just start jogging ;)

14 Months & House Updates

Life is slowly starting to return to normal and slow down! In the last month we've moved, went to Nebraska and Florida for Weddings, invested in new running shoes because Adelie has gotten a whole lot faster and managed to survive my busiest season for photography. Throw in B's golf season and I'm pretty sure none of us (besides Ms. Grilled Cheese herself) have eaten a hot meal all month!  We are finally unpacking and finding places for everything/redecorating because let's face it
new house=new decor
Sorry Wallet.
Hello Target
With Fall creeping in on us I am more than excited to bring some vibrant colors into our decor
especially our entry way!
Currently I have a few cabinets sitting in it that need to be moved to the basement
One of which contained my chalkboard paint for my new diy chalkboard

The other day, Adelie took it upon herself to paint the hallway/dressers with it

Miraculously she didn't touch anything white! Thank god!

The Studio is coming along, still waiting for quite a few goodies to arrive in the mail, but I am loving my new space!!

Adelie is loving the free range of pretties to play with ;)

I finally made it to Adelie's room painting it a little darker purple than her previous nursery :)

Speaking of
Adelie

She is now 14 months old and turning into quite the little toddler! She walks/runs/climbs on everything, but always with at least two babies tucked under her arms ;) The girl loves her babies!!  Her favorite foods are grilled turkey and cheese sandwiches, chicken alfredo, graham crackers, and goldfish.  She just recently started eating watermelon! (The first fruit she's liked!) She is a consistent two nap-naper, one at 9am and one at 2pm going down for bed about 7:30 and waking up about 7:30am :)  She talks all the time-very loudly. And is loving her new play area at the house!(Mom is too!) She goes absolutely nuts when daddy turns the Hot Dog song on in the morning.  She is currently wearing 18m and I am so excited to start dressing her in all the cute fall clothes that are peeking out from the back of her closet ;)

Once we get past this weekend
The Notre Dame vs Michigan game
we will be diving head first into some major decorating and rearranging our new home, cant wait to share pictures! :)

Until then..

Four Years a Walker & New House

Today Mr. Beck & I celebrate four years of marriage with a walking toddler, two dogs and a new house!  We will spend our anniversary moving. And I'm not complaining one bit! We are super excited to start this new chapter in our lives and I am even more giddylikeaschoolgirl to finally have my own permanent studio space! My mind is exploding with all the ideas I have for it and with all the pins i've pinned ;)  Adelie is officially a walking fool and it has proven to be quite a challenge to pack up a house, since her favorite game is taking everything out of the boxes. ayiyi.

Disclaimer: THIS has been why I've been so quiet on the blogging front recently. Besides it being my busiest season photography wise, we have been working like crazy to sell our house/pack up ours preparing for the move.  It has been a busy and stressful few months.
And I am a terrible secret keeper.

Adelie continues to be just about the cutest funniest lady I know. Just kidding-she totally is.  She has developed an obsession for the Hot Dog song from the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and B & I are getting pretty good at dancing to it ;)  Her language, which I'm guessing is a mix of japanese/spanish and piglatin is phenomenal. Spoken in her squeaky voice is just the icing on the cake.
She is getting better at walking every day and now chooses walking over crawling 99% of the time.  I am currently on the hunt for some great walking shoes for her. Surprisingly, they are harder to find than I anticipated.
Speaking of walking, Adelie's big FLOWERGIRL gig is coming up! She really had us sweating, thinking she wouldn't be walking in time, BUT as of last week-she is golden! And I made her dress, which is actually just a whole lot of tulle and it is so insanely cute. I can totally take my camera down the aisle photographing her right? ;)

Happy Anniversary Honey!

At the store yesterday, I told Adelie she could pick one baby. THIS was her choice ;)

She has not let it down and it is probably thee cutest thing I've ever seen in my life.

Two weeks ago we headed back home for a string on lemonade mini sessions

And going back home, means sharing a bed with this babe, and waking up to the most precious view ;)

Adelie's Walking Progression
(one weeks time)

This last weekend, Adelie stayed with Grandma and Papa Beck while B & I made the 10hr car trek to Nebraska to watch a college buddy get married! Congratulations Nick & Kateri!

In the middle of moving, I had two adorable newborns this week. One of the mamas took this behind the scenes shot ;)

And here's the ending result
