Week 36....errr 38!

If only every other office visit you went in and were told you were actually two weeks ahead of where you thought! That news has got to be the most fantastic and unexpected we've received thus far! This whole pregnancy we're been convinced I was farther along then what they told me I was. Justice!! :) That being said, since I can literally go any day now there are a few concerns that are now arising...A. Brandon left Wednesday for the up north  boys only cabin trip and won't return until Sunday...That's two hours north of here with little to no cell phone reception. BUT he can receive text. (Baby) is the code word for jumpinyourcarandgethereasapimhavingababy. B. He forgot to mow the lawn for a few weeks, so I'm afraid when we bring her home we might not be able to find the front door. & C. I have my last wedding on Saturday. So itty bitty please stay put until your father is back, mows the lawn and I am officially done with all of my weddings! Cross your fingers folks. Sunday however, is fair game ;) My walking shoes are already laid out, and the lawn mower is conveniently parked in Brandon's garage spot.
38 weeks

Baby A finally has a baby book (It's taken me FOREVER to find one!) and I've started filling it out, everything up until the page marked "My Birth Day" Ahh!

Speaking of Birth Day. We're ready for that. Our bags are packed and ready to be left behind taken to the hospital in the middle of the night.

We got a few unexpected goodie boxes on our front step this week, including this one from cousin Tesia! Diapers and bath essentials gallore! Thanks Tes!
Jory came back to the Mitten for memorial weekend, so we were able to have dinner on sunday night :)
The next time I see Jory, he'll be an uncle! :)

I just couldn't pass these up. I mean seriously? Can't wait to see her chunky legs sticking out of them :)

How far along? 36 38 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Up 25 lbs
Clothing: Stretchy things and walking shoes!!
Stretch marks? Still hanging in there!
Sleep: Didn't sleep so well this week with Brandon being gone :(
Best moment this week: Seeing A on the big screen and getting the news that she is healthy, growing at an amazing rate and ready to make her appearance!! Whoohoo!!
Miss Anything? My husband and Wrigley. The ability to take pictures laying on my stomach. That's frustrating. And the ability to cross my legs....
Movement:n Not a lot of extra space in there so I feel her shifting constantly and feel as though she's trying to dig her way out. Apparently this lightening-like sensation that means she is moving further down into my pelvis?
Symptoms: Exhaustion. Severe Nesting.
Food cravings: Just thirsty all day long. (&ice cream)
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope!
Gender: Girl
Labor Signs: Not yet! Getting close though!!
Belly Button in or out? out
Wedding rings on or off? On :)
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy and impatient! Let's get this show on the road! ;)
Looking forward to: Being officially off duty for photography for a hot second and focusing on the last minute details, resting and actually getting MY maternity pictures done! Hopefully before she decides to make an appearance!
Top Story: After being on me feet for 8 hours on saturday shooting a wedding and then turning around Sunday am to walk all over Michigan States campus for an engagement session. I was exhausted. I walked into a nearby food joint before continuing the engagement shoot to use the restroom. Figuring I had better buy some sort of hydration since it was pretty hot out I went to purchase a drink, only to have the young man hand me a cup and say no charge with a big smile on his face :). What an incredibly sweet gesture to a 9 monthes pregnant lady :)

You can check out all the photos from this last weekends photography sessions on facebook!

Baby Update!

On last Thursday I met with my Dr. who did all her usual measurements on me and decided that because I was still measuring ahead, she wanted to send me for a growth scan ultrasound to see if I had extra fluid or if baby A was just measuring extra big. The US was scheduled for the following Tuesday, but since I'm extra impatient these days...I rescheduled it for Sunday. I managed to make it through my second wedding on Saturday (one to go!) and before I knew it, it was Sunday and Brandon and I were on the way to the hospital :) It turns out we have one big baby! Everything looked great on the scan, baby is head way down and we even got to watch her practice breathing :) Once the ultrasound tech had all her measurements she left the room to go plug in all the numbers and speak with the Dr. We already knew she was big becuase I was watching the measurements on the screen, and her head alone was measuring 38w 4d. Whoa baby. But when the US tech came back we were stunned (looked like she was too) when she said, "Well... your measuring much closer to your original due date, she's roughly 7lbs 8oz right now, measuring around 38weeks" I looked over at Brandon and his expression was very much like my own. ha. Looks like we are having a baby. Very soon! Very soon, as in like any day. omg.
We're about to be a family of three!
Saturday before the Wedding :)

Brandon's quick snapshot of me being fidgety on the table
Being told your baby is actually the size of a small toddler will make anyone fidgety.
We got a few pictures this trip but they weren't very good because A. She's too far down and B. She's a little smushed ;)
One looking up..err... Down at her sweet little face :)

IN OTHER BIG NEWS!
My friend Jen (whose water broke last Thursday and whose been on hospital bed rest since) delivered a healthy baby girl this morning! Baby Natalie Rose Wood weighed in at 4lbs 10oz 17 3/4inches long at 6 weeks early! Mom and baby are doing great! Cannot WAIT to meet her! Seeing her sweet pictures makes me That much more excited to meet out little babe :)

Week 35

We have officially met a crazy milestone this week! 35 weeks and 35 days to go until my due date!
Or is it less?
Ultrasound is scheduled for Sunday.
Had my 35 week appointment on Thursday and I am still measuring big, so Dr. wants to order a growth scan to see just how big this itty bitty is! This whole time I have felt like she's bigger then she should be, and I'm measuring 2 weeks ahead still which would put me at 37 weeks today. And she'd be the size of a watermelon. Sounds about right.  We haven't seen her sweet face since our 20 week scan, so I can't tell you how excited we are to see her soon looking so much more like an actual baby vs the grainy alienish babe we saw on the screen almost 15 weeks ago! The clothes have been washed, our bags are packed and her nursery ready. Let's get through this weekend & next and then you are free to come any time little girl! Quite literally out of our minds excited!

35 Weeks

In way exciting/crazy news my good friend Jen from work, who is due two weeks after me (july 11th)well..her water broke last night! Prayers for a healthy baby girl are appreciated! Can't wait to meet the little sweetie!

Watching Dad's game :)
In a few short weeks we're going to have a full blanket at those softball games! :)

Because everyone is on my pregnancy diet ;)

Drs office on thursday :)

How far along? 35 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Up 25 lbs
Clothing: Two pairs of stretchy capri pants that don't cut into my belly (she's so low!) and VS shirts. Or next to nothing because I'm so unbelievably warm all the time.
Stretch marks? Still hanging in there!
Sleep: Waking up about 1 time/per night to go the bathroom
Best moment story this week: Monday night I came home from work and it was so ungodly hot in our house, we hadn't turned the air on yet and I had every window open and fan on full blast. Brandon came home to me belly up (ha.) in my undies and sports bra sprawled out across the bed. His eye's got extremely large and muttered I'll go turn on the air...as he frantically ran through the house shutting the windows and cranking the ac. Yes. My belly is so large that I have scared Brandon into turning on our AC weeks before it normally would be turned on. Go me. Thanks itty bitty
Miss Anything? Margaritas, sleeping on my belly, normal movement in general.
Movement: I think I may give birth to a toddler
Symptoms: immobility and extra tightness at the top of my belly
Food cravings: Cherry Limeade, ice cream and cheeseburgers on the grill! yum!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope!
Gender: Girl
Labor Signs: Not yet! Getting close though!!
Belly Button in or out? out
Wedding rings on or off? On :)
Happy or Moody most of the time: All of a sudden a hormonal explosion has happened to me. The littlest things set me off. I'm blaming it on the hormones and heat.
Looking forward to: The fabulous three day weekend ahead! & Seeing baby A on the big screen on Sunday!

Britt's Baby Shower

Sunday I attended another baby shower, but this one wasn't for me. It was for my eldest cousin Brittney and Baby Jaxon who is due July 4th! The girl cousins on my mother's side are very artistically gifted and love to throw a good party, and this baby shower had so many cute details and most importantly amazing food. It was so nice to be able to sit back not have all eyes on you and enjoy the festivities :) It's so exciting that baby A will have so many cousins to grow up with because I am extremely close with mine and I know just how much fun it'll be for her! Brittney looked absolutely gorgeous and I am over the moon happy for her and Dustin to be welcoming their sweet baby boy so very soon!
Those nests? Hand made cake pops in chocolate covered pretzel nests!!

Baby A's Nursery

Decorating your first babies nursery has got to be the most fun, expensive, obsessive project you'll have since your wedding.  Hours upon hours spent deciding which shade of grey carpet will replace quitepossiblytheugliestfloorever? Which shade of lavender matches that small itty bitty piece of fabric in her quilt? Does she really She needs two dressers and a closet. I could of went the easy way out and bought an all-in-one nursery package deal, bought a bedroom set straight off the floor at the nearest baby bonanza and called it good enough. But that's just not me.  I thoroughly enjoy creating pretty things.  Especially for someone who means so much to me.  I hope you like your nursery Adelie, can't wait to have you here sweet girl.
As soon as she's born a canvas print will be hanging above this dresser :)

See you very soon little girl!
