Jory's Lineman Rodeo
Trenton, GA
In case you have no idea what this is, I don't blame you. I had no idea either until I saw it in person! These guys chimmy up poles like it's their job. Well, technically it WILL be their job ;) The rodeo was based on 4 different challenges that allowed them to demonstrate the skills they learned all while trying to score the best time. They were paired off into teams of 4, each person completing one challenge. Jory's task was the hurt man rescue. He had to put on all his gear climb the pole, strap a dummy into a rescue harness and lower him to the ground with the quickest time. Crazy scary to watch, completely impressed.
The story behind this sign.
When my aunt JoLynn graduated from MSU our whole family went to watch. Since there were a bazillion people in the auditorium we were trying to come up with something funny/creative to yell when she walked across the stage. Little innocent 5year old Jory enthusiastically chimed in,
"How about Animal Crazy!"
An ode to Jolynn's love for all animals. We haven't let him forget it.
