Only a few weeks late, I thought I'd share our fourth of July vaca to Traverse City :) We had SO much fun hanging out with family all weekend, really enjoying some down time and a weekend being unplugged from the real world. And I say unplugged because my in laws house is literally in the middle of the woods on a lake and we had minimal cell phone coverage ;) The babies loved riding around on the pontoon, the grandparents enjoyed playing with them on it and the parents really enjoyed a day of wine tasting throughout the country side. Getting up every morning and having a warm coffee on the deck overlooking the lake was pure heaven. We had bonfires and smores at night and our clothes smelled of campfire. The best smell ever. We watched the fireworks on the pontoon in the middle of the lake, went kayaking and fought off angry water snakes ;) All the fur babies made the trip up as well and they sat as close as humanely dogily possible to us in the fenced in area-Except for Major, the new baby of the family, the inlays Boykin Spaniel. Our long weekend was up before we knew it and we had to head back 2.5 hours into reality. If you have never been to the Traverse City area, you must! It is one of our favorite places to go and we love visiting at least once a year :)
Our drink of the weekend!
Captain Adelie!
July 5th marked the 7 year anniversary of Brandon proposing to me on a beach in South Haven :)
