So this will be a combined post, because I spent most of week 21 a nervous Nancy.
Mid week 21.
I was super excited about some new dresses I had coming in the mail for Adelie and my buy in ladies. I watched my super sweet mail lady pull up and struggle to put my package in the mailbox. Since it was cold out and had just snowed I quickly threw on my boots and hustled out my front door to meet her in my driveway, hoping she wouldn't have to get out of her mail truck. Well. Since it snowed it also iced over my sidewalk. I took one step off my front steps and slipped. Since I was in such a hurry I went airborne and fell right on my stomach. hard. I didn't even have time to catch myself. It was the worst feeling in the world. Not only did it take the wind out of me but my stomach was throbbing and I was terrified for little A. My poor mail lady walked around the corner to find me sprawled out and offered to take me to the hospital but it was all I could do to tell her I had to go call my husband. After a frantic call to Brandon and my Doctor they sent me into triage to be monitored making sure I wasn't going to start contracting.
I was the third girl that day to be monitored for an ice fall.
Hands down one of the scariest days of my life. From the time of my fall until I was laying on the bed at the hospital I hadn't felt her move. It wasn't until I had been laying there a good 15 minutes that she decide to relieve my heart attack and give me some strong kicks! In my hast I didn't grab a phone charger. So when the nurse said I would have to be monitored for 4 hours and my phone was on 20% with a worried husband calling/texting me (because this just had to happen the one day of the week he works on the lakeshore) I was a little stressed out. After an hour of only slight cramping the PA gave me clearance to go home and self monitor, and put me on couch rest for the next few days.
Besides feeling like I had been hit by a truck that next day I am SO HAPPY to say that
BABY AND MOMMA ARE COMPLETELY FINE :)
Florida this next week cannot come fast enough! No more sidewalk skating for this momma!
Once that fiasco had passed we headed home to see Aunt Jamison off to her first Big Dance! I can hardly believe she's old enough! She's so effortlessly gorgeous and I'm so proud of her. Adelie got to soak up tons of Uncle Jory time and she was killing us with all her funny antics!
Since I didn't exactly get out of my jammies all week ;)
The cute dresses I ran out the door to grab. Ugh. having girls is going to kill me ;)
