Adelie's Nursery Take 2

So I realized last night that I never posted Adelie's nursery in the new house. Since I'm about to start transforming it into her Big Girl room, we decided to clean it up yesterday and photograph it one last time before we start shifting things around ;)
**Disclaimer-It never looks this tidy with a tornado toddler, but who wants to see photos of that ;)
Once we were finished tidying up I went to grab my camera, (which was sitting on top of Adelie's baby book on the ottoman) just in time to see Adelie open said baby book and spill my camera a whopping 1.5ft onto the carpet.  Guess that was all it took because after recovering it, it wouldn't turn on or shoot.
All I wanted was to snap a few photos of her room.  Instead I spent 1.5 hours hysterical with a broken camera on the phone with Nikon followed by a drive to the camera store where they confirmed it would need to sent in to Nikon to be serviced for 6-8 weeks. Um No. I was about in tears at the camera store, the paperwork laying on the counter and my heart on the floor when he decide to try one last time to get it to turn on. It did. THANK BABY JESUS.
So after all the hassle, headache and near heart attack, my camera is safe at home, out of the reach of tiny hands.
And here are the photographs of Adelie's Nursery Part Two ;)
I kept it very similar to her old one, because I loved it so much, I never put back up her heart but maybe for her Big Girl room :) You can view her original nursery post HERE.

Week 20-Baby Girls

We started off this week with our Anatomy Scan which confirmed that Little A was still a girl and that she is growing and completely healthy! My granny and Aunt Jo came up for the appointment, and   kept Adelie entertained :) Like our gender determination ultrasound, Adelie kept shrieking
BABY!!
at the screen-probably the cutest thing ever. She is going to be the BEST big sister :) The whole time Little A squirmed around and wasn't very cooperative-I even had to get up and walk around once because she was laying snuggly in my left hip ;)  Probably the most memorable moment was when her little hand stretched out perfectly and the tech snapped a picture.  It was so perfect, and I will definitely be framing that sweet little hand.
The most hysterical moment was when Granny and Jo came in and for the first 5 minutes they strained to see the ultrasounds screen the tech was using instead of the big screen on the wall by my feet. Once I looked over and realized what was going on, we all had a good laugh. The tech was so sweet and printed off three copies of the photos so G & J could each take home a set :)
I continue to have energy and so Adelie and I have jumped full force into decorating the nursery and her Big Girl room! The painting is done in Little A's room- Adelie's bed is almost finished (we're still mattress shopping) and I'm feeling super accomplished! I am going to go full force while I still have all this energy!  Identical pregnancies so far!
Halfway there little one!

Granny & Adelie in the waiting room :)

P.S That's my moms purple sweater :)

Jo was in the room for Adelie's Birth-Photographing it and will be in there for Little A as well!

Granny brought Big Sis a new baby!

Thursday Adelie & I went shopping for little Sis and got to check out the double stroller!
We were in love!
Now to save up for it over the next several months! haha
We clearly went to the clothing dept. and we quickly fell in LOVE with these hot pink overalls!

Currently she has been practicing giving her babies (she refers to them as Baby AHHHHHs)
kisses (saying mmmmmmwahhhhhhhh) so precious!

Week 19

Can I get it on the record that I'm actually blogging on the actual week?!
Disclaimer-Wrote this last night in week 19, but posting today on week 20! I almost had it!

Wednesday was my last day of watching Liam, and now Adelie and I have all week to focus on my growing businesses (and belly!)
AND
Hello Energy!
Literally out of nowhere I have all this energy and motivation! Has nesting begun early? I'm going to say yes. Today we hauled out the totesontotes of baby clothes into the nursery and started going through them. I forgot how many clothes this child had! Her sister thanks her ;)
Once we started on the clothes, motivated Jacee decided it would be an awesome idea to paint the nursery! And so we did! Might as well take advantage of this energy while I have it! (I don't think it'll stick around ;)
Baby girl is most active at night when I'm laying on my back and this week her kicks are crazy powerful! So powerful that Brandon actually felt her too :*) I got so emotional feeling her and that will never get old-what a blessing  it is growing a baby.

And you thought i was writing out all these chalkboards! ;)

A sneak peek of the nursery ;)
Made Adelie some Palazzo pants-and we're both a little obsessed!!

Bought Little A her first set of outfits-beacuase I'm a sucker for purple ;)

We've also partnered up with my friend Jess who own's Sadie Sky Boutique out of Texas to photograph her headbands-I'm sure you've seen Adelie model them before as they quickly became the only ones we wear ;)

The matching set the girls will wear home from the hospital!

Week: 19

Weight Gain: up 8lbs down 4 from last week

Cravings: coffee, chocolate, Alfredo Pasta, Anything Spicy

Clothing: leggings and long shirts

Best Moment this week: Feeling little A kick like crazy when laying in bed and having Brandon feel for the first time-def sent me into tears

Miss Anything? The ability to paint in my living room-this whole white carpets everywhere really limits my painting! Especially when I have a dresser AND a big girl bed to paint!

Movement? Yes several times a day :)

Anything making me sick or queasy? Nope

Mood: Finally feel energized and productive

Looking forward to: Creating a beautiful space for our girls! I have {most} of the pieces for both their  rooms, just working on details!

Week 18

Writing this about a week late, but I've come to the conclusion these weekly bump dates will never be on time ;) I've been so busy this week, I had to remind myself I was pregnant! ha! Seriously! With the launch of our new business, Once Upon a Teepee, I have been sewing like a crazy lady- Our living room looks like a sweatshop, completely covered in fabric and I'm pretty sure I've showered maybe once this week? ;) We are SO excited about this new adventure and Adelie is pumped to have so many teepees in our house ;)
We would love it if you checked us out!
Instagram: @onceuponateepee

Adelie's obsession with necklaces also includes her dads razor. #stylin

In baby #2 news, It's getting harder to put on my socks, I'm loving all of the sweet little kicks and somersaults! I finally have energy but am running out of clothes. Sweats, sweats, leggings, sweats.  Judging by my roots in that picture, I am also looking forward to a hair appointment ;)

Week 17

Writing this technically 18 weeks, but I wasn't lying when I said this pregnancy is flying! This past week I found out one of my friends is expecting again, which I am SO excited about and another found out she's having a little girl! Our due dates are only a week apart so I'm so excited that our girls will be so close in age!!
We are slowly taking down the Christmas decor aka we took down the tree and thats it.  It's so hard to take down the pretty garlands! During Christmas season Adelie would go nuts over the lighted lawn reindeer so many people had in their yards, so I told her we would get one after Christmas and on sale-becuase they were around a hundred dollars before Christmas-eep! They were sold out at the Target by our house but we snagged one at another. The last one the display reindeer at 50% off.
But here's the kicker-At the register instead of coming up 49.99 it rang up 29.99.
Happy Birthday to Adelie.
(my mom used to always say this when scoring an amazing bargain ;)
We also picked up Baby sister her first new outfit to wear during Christmas 2015!
Our New Year's Eve was pretty uneventful. I wasn't feeling so well during the day, but after 5 hours on the couch, some chicken noodle soup and cream soda, I was ready to bring in the New Year!
Adelie lasted though 3 New Years Eve parties around the neighborhood and even stayed awake to watch the ball drop.  Also making her presence known, little A was doing several flips, and I finally felt my first somersault on the outside! We've had an amazing 2014-A first Birthday, New House, New Car, Successful businesses and the news of a new baby!
Feeling very humbled and blessed as we greet 2015 with great anticipation and love!
Happy New Years Everyone!

Note on the outfit:For the past week, Adelie has been finding it in my closet and putting it around her neck. I asked her what I should wear for New Years Eve and she brought me this ;)
I d i d n o t w e a r i t
;)

I never took a picture like this with Adelie and I regret it. I was very anxious with Adelie. Very cautious about every sign and symptom. This pregnancy feels very natural and peaceful so I decided I needed to document the morning I woke up and felt beautiful in my skin.  Pregnancy is beautiful and sooner or later we'll have completed our family and I'll have nothing but the pictures to remember what it was like to be pregnant.  I went back and forth about whether to post this photo, but I'm proud of it and needed to. I am growing a human inside me. Crazy.
A living, kicking, full of life little girl and I am so proud of that.
Thank you god for choosing me to be her mommy.

What we actually wore to New Years ;)

Immediately following the Ball Drop, Adelie dropped.
Naptime in the teepee
Bathtime with my girls lately. Trying to figure out how to escape without a letter or number stuck someplace.
There is always at least two surprise ones I find while drying off ;)

Week: 17

Weight Gain: up 7lbs

Cravings: Cream soda, spicy foods, potatoes, pasta, apples, ice cream

Clothing: is there anything besides sweats?

Best Moment this week: Getting a Brand New sewing machine and going crazy with it!

Miss Anything? Sense of Balance. A little front heavy- hard to lean forward without falling!

Movement? yup! Started quite frequently right at 14weeks-little kicks here and there and a few somersaults

Anything making me sick or queasy? Cleaning up a dirty diaper that the dogs shredded. ick.

Mood: Finally feel energized and happy!

Looking forward to: A new business Venture that will be launching soon! Can't wait to share it with you :)

Baby #2 Must Haves

The one amazing thing about having another girl, is that I saved everything from Adelie and realistically won't need a whole lot for this little one.  My weakness is baby clothes and we have totes and totes FULL of them ready to be unpacked and hung up in little A's nursery ;)
I do have a few things we will be purchasing this time around that have gotten great reviews from fellow mamas and a few things I never used with Adelie but having a toddler and a baby makes me want to try them out ;)
#1 on my list
A double stroller
I'm constantly on the go so I need an easy stroller to transport the girls around in.  I have the City Mini single stroller and LOVE it, so after a short deliberation-I've decided there's just no way I could go with anything else for a double! It has room to snap in a carseat and will be able to grow with the girls. Plus it folds up super easy and won't take up the whole trunk!

However, Still in the running is the baby jogger City Select.
We will be making a trip to BuyBuyBaby in a few months to make the final decision ;)

#2 A Solly Baby Sling
I never wore Adelie, simply because I always had two free hands! This time around is a little different ;)  I have the baby Ktan but it's just not the right fit for me. After some research, the Solly Baby looks about the most user friendly and they come in SO many cute color combos! I'm in love with this striped version! :)

#3 Dual Baby Monitors
For obvious reasons, Adelie will only be 2 when the baby is born so I'm also looking into a new baby monitor with two cameras, one for each room.  Since Adelie will be in a big girl bed by the time the baby is here, it'll be super useful to be able to keep an eye on both of them.  Rather then purchasing another set, with a dual monitor I'll be able to switch between rooms on one receiver.  Currently we have a motorola, so the choice is between the dual motorola and this one from Summer.

Those are really the only few things we will be purchasing this time around. Nursery wise, my glider will move to the new baby's room as well as the crib. Yikes- that means Adelie will be in her Big Girl Bed in just 5 months?? I'm debating on painting the crib or keeping it white, I go back and forth every day ;)  Still gathering ideas for this little ones nursery but right now, this is my current inspiration board for little A :)
