Week Two

Here we go! Starting to really get into the swing of things this week! I bounced back so much faster this time and sitting around really isn't my cup of tea- so call me crazy but I booked a few photo sessions! So I took my two {socrazy!} two assistants for the first time on a shoot. No crying and zero naughtiness! It won't be an every time occurrence (now hiring a part time nanny! jk ;) but it's nice to know I can take them both if needed :)

Real Life
I thought it would be comical to keep that initial first paragraph I wrote almost 3 and a half months ago-because that is as far as the week 2 blogpost went.  Somewhere mid week life got busy.
Like r e a l l y busy.
Like, did I shower this week?/did Adelie have lunch?/why don't I have 12 hands?/middle of wedding season/Did I eat today/boy this newborn eats a lot/are the two's always this busy?
Like a HUGE dose of humble pie Jacee.
Two is not the walk in the park that it was week one. I'm not going to lie, it's been hard busy. Like, there is NO sitting enjoying your precious newborn like you did the first time. Instead I've been hustling around the house with Aria tucked under my arm like a football trying to keep Adelie entertained so that she doesn't feed the bunny foreign objects or dump out all of the containment's of a drawer into the toilet.  Actually the new one, is filling up teacups of water from the refrigerator door and leaving them in random places around the house.
Perhaps the biggest struggle this far has been self induced.  I decided to go back to work way to early and so I've been trying to balance work and family.
Just last week I realized what I was doing to myself and cut myself some slack.  I was way to stressed out, my poor house was suffering and my girls need my attention during the day.  My editing time is currently at night, nap time (if they nap at the same time) and early morning (if I can drag myself out of bed). Coffee has been flowing through me and I'm running on fumes ;)

  1. So glad you're back! I hear ya...times two! I have a 2.5 year old and 10 month old twin girls....there is NO time for sitting until they all go to bed. It's just about keeping your head above water over here. Looking forward to reading more about your adventures with two!
