Week 17

Babes is on the verge of some major milestones. She is SO close to rolling over, but her side is just too comfortable to continue onto her belly.  I also assembled the high chair this week! Adelie can now sit at the table with the rest of the family, and....... had her first try at rice cereal! On a spoon! She didn't particularly care for it and pushed most of it out with her tongue, but the girl grasped the spoon concept no big deal! It was incredibly cute and I made Brandon video tape us ;) We also attempted to take Ads out to dinner while we watched the Tigers game one night. Note: Do not take a baby to watch a sporting event at a pub during her bedtime. Poor tootsie sugar got woke up every few minutes from all the cheering. We finished our dinner and headed home needless to say. The girl can sleep pretty much anywhere and through anything. But not Tigers fans.
On Monday we packed up and headed to Lansing for an engagement session I had at MSU. We got halfway there before I smelled, cringed and knew exactly what we would be up against once we stopped. Thank god I threw in pjs in the diaper bag last second. Brandon had the diaper bag last and all that was in there were leggings. She did pretty great the whole time, until the very end when she wasn't to thrilled about sitting in her stroller, thus me ending the shoot baby in one hand and camera in the other. So thankful all my clients love her ;)
On friday night Brandon and I packed, dropped all three kids off at G&G Beck's and headed to Notre Dame for the game. We had a great time and got to see a ton of our friends that we haven't seen in a LONG time!
AND
All three of us were asked to be in our friends Jay & Beth's wedding! SO excited for next August!
More exciting news came Sunday on the way home, when I got the phone call that my cousin Heather was in LABOR! The poor girl was due OCT 1st. Thats right, 19 days past her due date! Since I was asked to take the birth pictures, I quickly picked Adelie up from the inlaws, kiss and hugged the daylights out of her, dropped her off back with Brandon and high tailed it to Kalamazoo to witness the birth of
William Henry Burns VI
a.k.a Henry
8.1lbs 21" long
Ads cannot wait to meet her new cousin!

The boys finally got their new bed!

Mr. Anxious tricked me into thinking our ride was here. It wasn't there for 20 more min, so we sat outside and enjoyed the fresh Autumn air. Brandon on the cement and I in this pretty baby I bought on clearance at Home Depot! Whoohoo!

So excited for their wedding! ;)

That there's an R.V.
Cousin Eddy's R.V. to be exact!

The new family of three! :)

Week 16

This week was a sad one. My iphone was dropped one too many times thus completely shattering it requiring me to press on the jagged glass in order to see the screen. Needless to say our picture taking was minimal this week :( That's iphone picture taking, Big Mama camera was in full swing this week and Adelie tagged along to almost every shoot! We have been super busy in the photo dept since Michigan's leaves are changing and the color is spectacular! Seriously if you have never been to Michigan for the changing of the leaves, I urge you to add it to your
Bucket List.
We had Liam with us two days this week and I'm still trying to get a handle on this whole pretend twins thing. Our VCR is still our favorite distraction, as we relive my childhood movies one by one.  I can hardly contain my giddyness as I introduce Liam and Adelie to all the Disney classics!  And let me tell you how many adult jokes and funny jabs you catch when you watch them now!
Disney you sly sly man.
Adelie has started to accumulate rolls and the most kissable chubby cheeks :) Still barely any hair, her baby blue eyes are still Blue (hoping they start transitioning to green) Brandon and I both have green :) She is drooling like a fool which by the book means she's in the earliest stages of teething, but they can be teething for months before a tooth actually breaks through. She eats around 8oz a sitting. She doesn't have a particular time she eats,  I'm still relying on her cues to know when it's time to eat/sleep/be changed. And it's working perfectly. She currently wears 6m clothes and is about to transition into size 2 diapers. We recently pulled out a package of Huggies diapers. Not for us. Pampers all the way. Pampers do a much better job of masking the odors.
On Saturday I set off to shoot a wedding and then several other shoots that weekend leaving Ads behind with the hub. This was the first time Brandon had her alone over night/ for more than a day. The first picture I received from Brandon, she was wearing a different out then when I left. She knows just how to break daddy in. They survived the weekend together and I was o-so-happy to come home to her sweet face. Brandon's too ;)
STATS
Height 26"
Weight 15.2 lbs

Since I've been so busy with pictures, I've tried to snuggle with her as much as possible during my down time. She's growing so fast :(

Week 15

Adelie has become a twin. For three days out of the week at least ;) Monday and Wednesday we welcomed baby Liam into our daily routine of editing, crafting and Jurassic Park! They had so much fun playing the piano together :) Now if only I can get them on the same schedule we'll be golden! I give real twin moms total props, juggling two babies on a full time basis would be completely overwhelming!
Monday and Wednesday I spent my whole day talking in a high pitched baby voice, bouncing someone on my knee and hitting play for the thousandth time on the vcr player ;)
We're kind of having a lovefest with our VCR player right now
Thursday Adelie and I took a little field trip to a neighboring pumpkin patch so I could photograph a few cuties, she enjoyed the fresh air while momma got to enjoy some homemade melt-in-your-mouth doughnuts and the most spectacular apple cider slushee! I'm determined to come up with a similar recipe so I can indulge in a hard apple cider slushee at my leisure ;) Adelie continues to LOVE her kickee piano and we are now in the market for some sort of jumper-exercauser-walker contraption so she can sit upright for playtime! So if anyone has any suggestions on ones they LOVE we are all ears!

Tuesday Night I received a call from one of our best friends/the best man in our wedding, asking if I would be available to make the trip down to Notre Dame where he would be proposing to one of my girlfriends to photograph the whole ordeal! So Friday afternoon Adelie and I packed up and headed to South Bend where I strapped her into the front baby harness and documented the whole thing :)
In case you have never tried to, shooting over the top of an excited babies head is quite challenging
Saturday, while I had a wedding, Ads spent the day with her GG, papa Ron, Aunt Jam and Uncle George :) Rainy Sunday Funday was spent inside at my cousins house as the whole family crowded into one room to watch Adelie and her second cousin Jaxson giggle and talk on the floor. It is SO fun watching all these babies interact with one another!

Adelie now weighs 15.4lbs
and is 25" long

Speaking of Hello Apparel, we got quite a lot of LOVE on Instagram from them this week! :)

Did I mention I'm also the family Barber? ;)
