Week 39

Adelie has officially been out of my belly as long as she was in it! Since she was technically born before her due date* (debatable) of 6.24.13.  Out of all the milestones she has reached thus far, week 39 has been the one for the books.  She is now cruising around in one speed, extra fast, pulling herself up on any and everything in sight. At first it was sort of nerve wrecking, but after a few days she is very sturdy and knows that if she lets go, she will fall.  And so starts the period of bumps and bruises! We are still battling nap time/bedtime as no-nap Adelie continues to conquer, which makes for extremely long days and lot's of housework that is going undone. Poor Brandon is scraping the bottom of the sock drawer and our pillowcases that, have actually been clean for a week now, have yet to make it back on the pillows. Note to self, do this tonight.
We have started to incorporate Stage 3 foods into her diet. Which, by the way, are MUCH thicker and chunkier than Stage 2!  I have been attempting to give her small pieces of soft veggies/fruits, but the texture freaks her out and she starts gagging or shuddering. So, we'll come back to those. One of the four teeth is finally through, and another just broke this am. She has a baby Madonna gap in her two front teeth and she loves to smile just enough to let them peek out from under her top lip. Makes my heart explode with happiness.  Little crocodile  :) We are still working on "Dada" but as of now, "Mama" "Baba" "Gaga" and "Oink" are her go-to words.
On Friday, both Adelie and I were filmed for a product review for the Sassy Baby bathtub! Basically I gave Adelie a bath and we played with toys in the water while being filmed.  Our little shoot will be featured on the babiesrus website for the Sassy Baby Tub! It was so fun, we both really enjoy these little modeling gigs :)
In carseat news, She is much more comfortable now that she can stretch out in her big girl seat. The bad news, when she falls asleep, I can no longer just tote her into a store :( We have skipped the grocery store twice last week. So we're also scrapping the bottom of the barrel in the food dept. as well ;)
I realized her first Birthday is less than 3 months away, yesterday while filling out her baby calendar.
Talk about an emotional train wreck.
However, I have started the planning, following in my mothers footsteps ;)
Thank you god for giving us the sweetest little girl to call ours. Our hearts have never been more full and she brings us so much happiness! xo

After our Sassy Shoot! :)

And like the rest of the world, we are obsessed with Frozen! :)
